After the events of last night Skylar had decided to spend the night with her girlfriend, she had fallen asleep pretty quickly, as soon as her head hit the pillow she was out like a light. That was up until around three am in the morning when something hitting her face woke her up, after a split second of thinking someone had broken into her room she turned on the lamp. Her eyes scanned her surroundings and she soon realised she wasn't in her own bedroom, she watched as her girlfriend twisted and turned mumbling incoherent words that Skylar couldn't possibly understand. She knew straight away what this was, she had dealt with nightmares herself for a numerous amount of years.

Skylar pushed the fact that her girlfriend had all but punched her to the back of her mind, she sat up and rested against the headboard before rubbing her tired eyes. Her heart broke when she studied Lydia's face further; the strawberry blonde's face was painted with fear, eyebrows knitted together and sweat dripping from her forehead. Skylar had never seen her girlfriend like this before, of course she'd seen the teen distraught a couple of times due to recent supernatural events. Though her girlfriend had failed to mention the nightmares that she appeared to be having, and to Skylar this didn't seem like a one off thing she knew straight away it had to be reoccuring.

"Skylar," Lydia managed to croak out through hoarse breathing. "D– don't let them h... hurt me."

The brunette had been through far too many nightmares than she cared to remember, not to mention soothing the nightmares her brother and father would have on the odd occasion. She shuffled closer to her girlfriend, wrapping one arm around her naked torso and running her other hand through soft curls. "It's okay, baby. I'm here."

"Don't let them hurt me." Lydia repeated the same words rather frantically, tears rolling down her flushed cheeks.

Skylar's thumb smoothed her girlfriend's cheek as her palm lay rested, she reached down and left a soft kiss against her forehead. "I won't let anyone hurt you, again. I promise."

Glossy emerald eyes flung open, peering into concerned grey ones and she smiled tiredly yet ever so softly, silently letting her girlfriend know she's okay. It wasn't long before the strawberry blonde's breathing had finally evened out, soft snores filling the room that was filled with whimpering just mere minutes ago. Once Skylar could see her girlfriend was visibly sleeping, she slowly moved back down the bed making sure she was careful not to wake her.

The next time Skylar woke up it was to the feeling of fingertips drawing patterns along her naked back, the sensation sending instant shivers down her spine. Her eyelids fluttered open and she turned her head to meet her girlfriends gaze, a soft smile spread across the other teens face. She closed her eyes once more, her girlfriends fingers trailing up and down her spine forcing her to want to fall back into a peaceful slumber. That was until her nose wrinkled as she brushed strawberry blonde curls back from where they were tickling her nose, and grudgingly blinking her eyes back open. When they landed on olive skin above her, she smiled and raised her eyes to Lydia's face.
