Low on sugar. {Paige Bueckers- GL}

Chapter 5

Paige's pov-

I wake up with Kiara completely on top of me, she has one of her hands holding mine and the other around my neck. Her head is in the crook of my neck and she's moving a bit so I think she's waking up, she looks up at me and smiles. She looks so cute right now, I'm glad I can officially call her mine now but I can't tell the team yet.

Kiara starts playing with my hair a bit and I'm just talking to her about how pretty she is and how I can call her mine now, I hear some footsteps so I stand up and hid in the closet. I hear the door open and Nika's voice.

Nika: "Kiara, so you know where Paige is.?"

Kiara: "no, I'm sorry.."

Nika: "okay, id you see her tell her that we are all going to a dinner later"

Kiara: "okay.."

I hear Nika walk away and close the door, I wait a few seconds before coming out the closet. Kiara is giggling at me because she left a small hickey on my neck but I guess she hasn't seen her neck yet..(😉) I lay back on the bed next to her and cuddle her as she goes on Instagram and watch Aaliyah and Mia's live with KK.

KK is entertaining everyone as Mia and Aaliyah are in the background but you can barely see them, Aaliyah has her arm wrapped around Mia's waist and Aaliyah says she has to go somewhere.

Aaliyah kisses Mia then remembers there're on live but they look at the phone and the live can't see them, only when the kissed they can barely see them. Kiara starts squealing since her ship has finally sailed.

Paige: "hey, are we officially girlfriend and girlfriend .?"

Kiara: "mhm.."

I kiss her forehead and lay my head on her chest before falling asleep on her, I mumble "the best pillows ever" and I hear her laugh.

She's playing with my hair while I fall asleep on her, Aaliyah and Mia come in the room but they are kissing. They stop when they notice us.

Aaliyah: "I thought you said they were gone.?"

Mia: "I thought.!"

Aaliyah: "oops..um, have a good day!"

Aaliyah picks up Mia and they run out the room but close the door, Kiara starts laughing but she thinks I'm asleep so she kisses my head and says 'oh my gosh..you look so beautiful right now."

I blush at her comment and I want to say something but I act like I'm asleep, she starts humming a song and it puts me to sleep.

Kiara's pov-

I'm on my phone texting Mia about what just happened and she tells me that Aaliyah and her are together now so I tell her Paige and ai are together. I can hear Mia screaming from the other room and Aaliyah telling her to be quiet.

After a few hours Paige wakes up and asks what time is it, it's 4:30 p.m. so we have to get ready for the dinner party. Volleyball (women's) team is going and the women's basketball team plus men's basketball team.

We get ready and leave, I'm in baggy jeans with a black corset as a shirt with Mia's white jacket that I stole from her. Paige sits on my right and Mia sits on my left next to Aaliyah, I'm in the middle of the table right in front of a very weird acting men's basketball player.

Paige places her hand on my thigh secretly because my leg's bouncing up and down, the guy in front of me is very tall. His name is Jake and he's your typical jock, except worse somehow. I feel his hand on my knee under the table time to time but I move my leg and give him a weird look.

Paige notices and asks if I'm okay which I respond with 'mhm' I don't eat much since my blood sugar is already pretty high and if I eat more sugar I'm going to have to take insulin so I stop eating after a while and just drink water.

It's been two hours here I'm in bored, Paige noticed and asked the waiter for a kids menu since there is stuff to color on it. I'n coloring with crayons on the menu and adding some other things here and there, Mia's laughing at me because I'm really living up to the name the coaches call me 'Baby'.

Dang it..she's right and I have now way of defending myself since it's all true, I just ignore her after a while and continue drawing/coloring. After one more hour I've colored the whole thing and drew extra things for me to color which I also finished, I asked Paige if we can go home but she said ten more minutes so I had to wait.

I lean my head on Paige's shoulder since Mia already left and I close my eyes in hopes I can fall asleep, after around thirty minutes of sleeping I feel someone sit in the seat next to me and I turn to see Jake. He starts touching my arm and thigh really inappropriately and I feel uncomfortable, I look over to Paige but she is not paying attention.

Jake: "so..you single.?"

Kiara: "I-..uh-..."

Jake: "I'm taking that as a yes." He leans more into me and leans in to kiss me, I'm leaning back into Paige and pushing her slightly.

Kiara: "dude, back up!"

Jake: "but you're single..can't you give me a chance.?"

Kiara: "hm..let me think about it. No!"

Paige: "Kia, you're backing up into-..dude back up from her!" Paige yells at Jake and everyone looks over at us.

Jake gets up in a hurry and runs out, Paige finally says we can go home so I run out the doors before she can change her mind.

We make it to the dorms and I just run and jump on my bed, kissing it.

Kiara: "oh, how I've missed you!" I hear Paige laughing at me in the bathroom.

We shower and change before getting in bed and cuddling, falling asleep.
