She walked around like nothing happened last night. Like it was a normal thing. How could she be so calm when she was almost killed? If I wouldn't have smelt her scent last night, who knows what would have happened. The bruise on her shoulder was from that parasite. His filthy hand was on her and left a mark. It angered me. I ripped him to shreds. I tore him limb from limb until he was unidentified. I practically danced in his blood. I don't know why seeing her underneath him made me so pissed.

I don't even know her, yet I protected her. I couldn't take the thought of someone else tasting her sweet blood before me. As we walked around the mall, she kept looking over her shoulder. Like something was going to hurt her. I had this feeling of protectiveness inside me. So, I always stayed close to her. Walking behind her like a shadow. As we walked around Barnes and Noble, she walked the opposite direction of the group. God, how naive is she? I walked around like I was looking at the books. I should have been paying attention to where I was walking because a small figure ran into me.

I looked down to see Tokin holding a dark romance book. I've read it. I know all the dirty things that are in it. Is that what she's into? "Are you sure you want that book?" I asked, lowering my tone. Blush crept to her cheeks as she tried to hide it. "I, it's not what it looks like, I'm buying it for research purposes," she babbled. I smirked, grabbing the book. I flipped to the page I wanted. "He slammed his large cock into me, making me scream out, the pain mixed with pleasure was so much, I could come already. He grabbed my throat making me look into the mirror in front of us. 'Look at what you caused,'" I read, before I could continue, she ripped the book out of my hands.

Her face was red, and she couldn't look me in the eyes. "Tell me, Vessel, what do you fantasize about? Being completely destroyed, and have lost all will?" I whispered into her ear. She turned her face toward mine, her breath hitting my face. Her eyes were dark, but her pupils were dilated. "It's just a book," she whispered. I smirk, "right, a book that has a sex scene every other chapter, you don't have to tell me, I can see it, you're not the sweet innocent girl you make yourself out to be," I whispered. Her breath got caught in her throat.

I looked to her lips and back at her eyes. I smirked moving away from her. I walked back to the front waiting for everyone. After everyone was done, we made it to another store. I hate doing this, but Aliza said its what college students do so here I am. Tokin had ended up getting more books that were like the first one. I wonder if she pleases herself to them. Reading them fantasizes it happening to her. The image of her pleasing herself made its way into my brain. I shifted my step as I felt my jeans tighten. Not now. I mentally slap myself for even picturing her like that.

"I think I'm done here," Tokin said. "What? No, come on just a few more stores," Jenna begged her. She was holding her bag of books so tight her knuckles were white. I smirk to myself. I knew it. "I have a skype call with my parents in thirty minutes so, I should really get going," she said. She said her goodbyes as she walked to the exit. I want to follow her, but it'll look suspicious. Her scent was illuminating. Every time she was near, I had to hold my breath. Her scent made my very existence come to life.

I can't help but feel something different about her. It really pissed me off. As the day went on I ended up leaving the group and heading to my father. The drive to his Manor was long but it was peaceful. The roads into the gloomy forest were untouched by cars and still had standing water from the rain. After about 25 minutes on the main road, I pulled off into the driveway and continued the mile drive. I still can't get her out of my brain. Her chocolate brown eyes looking at mine, her breath lightly hitting my face. The way she blushed when I read out of her book. She was so mesmerizing, yet I still can't shake the feeling something is missing.

I pulled up to the Dracula Manor and parked. I stepped out of the car and almost instantly my father was opening the door. In all the years he still looks like he hasn't aged. Although he did make a witch make him look like he was in his fifty. "What do I owe the pleasure," he said with an emotionless face. "Can't I come see my old man," I said, with a chuckle. He laughed, "Of course, how is school?" He asked as we made our way inside. "It's become interesting," I said. "Oh? What's going on," he said, pouring us a cup of warm blood. I took a long drink from the glass and sighed after. "Well, it's more of a who than a what," I said. Just saying that makes my mother appear. "A girl?" She squealed.

"God, mom, geez, but yes, she is something else. She's human though, but her scent drives me crazy, her blood, it has this smell. Vanilla and cinnamon. I saved her from a freelance though, he was so close to killing her. When I saw her face pressed into the pavement and his teeth so close to her, I black out. It was like the beast inside of me went insane," I explain. Both my parents had grins. "Hello, are you hearing me? I ripped a man to shreds over a girl I just met," I said sitting on the sofa.

My mother sat next to me, "How does she make you feel when you touch?" she asked. I raised my eyebrow at her, "I've gotten close to her, but I've never touched her. Anytime we get close I pull myself away," I said looking at my almost empty glass. "What's her name?" my father asked. "Tokin King," I said, her name alone felt like sweet honey on my tongue. "Oh, I know her father, Luis, he's a great man but what doesn't make sense is he's the literal devil and her mother is a vampire so there is no possible way she is human," My father said.

"What?" I said, looking at him confused. "Luis is short for Lucifer, so the only explanation is for some reason they're suppressing her true self, which could be one of three reasons," he explained. My head was spinning. She can't be like me; she can't be a monster. She has to be pure. She's so innocent. "Lukas, spend more time with her, one touch will explain how you're feeling," my mother said, kissing my forehead, leaving the room. My father followed her, leaving me alone.

I have so many questions. I walked into my father's study and looked into his phone book. The first number was Lucifer King, (676)-612-6664. Of course, he has that many sixes in his phone number. I took a picture of it and left the Manor. As I walked to my car I dialed the number. After so many rings I was about to hang up. "Ah, Lukas, I was wondering when I'd hear from you," His voice rang through my ears. All I felt was... Fear?
