It was pennys birthday so the whole choir decided to go out for dinner! They didnt really know what penny wanted to do because they kept insisting they shouldnt make a fuss, but obviously, the choir had to do something.

They got to the restaurant and took their seats. Noel and mischa holding hands. Penny and ocean doing the same. Constance and ricky talked about something, eventually the rest of the choir joined in the conversation, it was about the newest lore ricky had "made up" about his space cats.

But the choir couldnt say "made up" because to him it was all very real.

This restaurant had a small buffet area, not like a major one but a small one. It had an area where you could get something small, the biggest thing you could get was a salad, i guess waiting for your meal. There was also a drink machine, and an ice cream machine.
(SORRY THIS MAKES NO SENSE LOL IM TRYNA EXPLAIN SOMETHING I REMEMBER FROM A RESTAURANT I WENT TO FROM YEARS AGO)

Ocean noticed this and said to the others
"who wants to come get some food with me?"

Mischa, ocean, ricky and penny went up.

Ocean made a decently healthy salad, ricky made one that was okay, mischa just stuffed his bowl full of croutons then walked away eating them, penny did the same.

After a bit of eating and talking they decided to go fill their glasses.

They all went up, ricky and constance got lemonade from the soda machine. Noel got cherry coke, ocean opted for water from the next machine.

Penny decided to have a bit everything apparently.

I guess you could call their drink a recipe.
2/8 - coke
3/8 - 7 up
2/8 - fanta
1/8 - sprite

And mischas was even weirder. He never got up from the table, yet the choir came back to see him drinking something from the cup, with a half empty bottle of vodka on the table.

"Where'd you get that?" noel said.
"Its borfday!"

Ocean grunted and rolled her eyes and she took her seat back next to penny.

After this a server came to take their order, after they ordered ocean just had to get a snarky comment in.

"You guys know that all this is so unhealthy."
"you still ordered babe, your not little miss perfect yourself." penny giggled.

"babe?" Mischa said. Not in a condescending way, or at least, thats not what he thought it was. He was just genuinely curious about this, and didnt mean to create an awkward enviroment. There was a loud silence for a minute.

"Who wants to try my concoction?" Penny broke the silence, holding out her odly-coloured cup like a "milkshake"  a 4 year old made for their mother while they were playing outside in the dirt, and wont leave until the mother tries it.

"I dont think anyone does penny, that is not normal." Noel replied.

"Its chemistry! did you learn nothing in school" Penny sarcastically replied, rolling her eyes.

"I could name a couple chemistries that are on this table" constance muttered to ricky, jokingly
(i headcanon they are those sassy best friends shhh)

Eventually their orders came, they ate, they talked. TIME FOR DESERT.

They went over to the ice cream machine, like a pack of ravenous siblings tumbling down the stairs once they hear "dinners ready!" from downstairs.

There were like 4 other full tables in the restaurant, two with over 5 kids each, and very tired parents, one with a very old couple, and one with other teens, who were slightly more "well behaved" than the choir, but who tf cares?

They cued up to get theirs one at a time.

Ocean got a small amount, no toppings.
Noel had an average amount with cherry sauce and white chocolate shavings.
Ricky practically had a tower of ice cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate sprinkles.
Constance had a little bit, and strawberry sauce and LOTS of sprinkles!!!
Penny looked to ricky and said "I bet you all my money i can get AND finish more ice cream than you."
"Okay!" Ricky responded.
"Dont get too thrilled" ocean sarcastically responded. "Youd only win about 7 dollars"
Penny nudged her.

Then she filled up her bowl up in a giant tower, so much so it was leaning on one side. She frantically put her toppings on (chocolate sauce and pink sprinkles.)

Mischa was last.
"Can i join bet?"
"i dont know, can you?" penny responded.
"is that challenge?"
"yeah!"

Mischa filled up his bowl with the perfect amount of icecream so that it was just level with penny. Ricky toppped his up a little to make sure the competition was equal.
Then mischa added every. topping. there.

Then a small kid literally pushed him out of the way to get to the machine.
"what the fuck!" mischa said before turning around to see the kid was like 7 and immediately stopping and covering his mouth. The kid, who was now crying.
"shhh its okay!!" mischa and penny said, trying to quiet the kid so the parents wouldnt hear.
"whys it crying?" noel said to ocean
"idk. Do you think kids are cursed?" ocean replied
"oh definitely" noel said, making a gesture of disgust.
"what is wrong with you two"  ricky and constance said, trying not to laugh.

"stop laughing" penny said, now also trying not to laugh.
Eventually everyone in the choir was laughing, like mad people, even the little kid! Great success.

They went back to the table to start the competition, which constance decided to co-judge with noel.

"Ready, steady... go!"  Constance said. 

And ricky, penny and mischa started eating like absolute animals.
Ocean make snobby facial expressions at them every now and then.

Ricky and mischa couldnt finish, leaving penny the default winner.

"You both owe them 7 dollars" constance giggled.
"Why 7?" ricky responded.
"cuz thats all theyd of had for you anyway." ocean bluntly responded.
"and they had to win because that theyd never financially recover from that tough, seven dollar loss." noel said

Penny flipped them all off.

After they payed, they left the restaurant.
"You wanna ride home?" Noel said, quite close enough to mischa to kiss him.
"well, yeah, its not like i can walk home."

"oh! noel!" they both whipped around to see penny running across the parking lot at them.

"can you also drive me?" penny said panting.
"i can drive you penny!" ocean shouted across the parking lot. 
Ocean clearly got the hint noel and mischa didnt want a third wheel.
The reason penny didnt really want to drive with ocean is because ocean always listens to podcasts in the car which is so boring for penny. But i guess she'd be alright.

Mischa fell asleep in the car almost instantly, which kind of annoyed noel because he wanted to talk to mischa. They always have the best conversations in the car.

But then he looked over at how cute mischa looked asleep

He softly stroked his hands through mischas curls, lowered the music, and smiled.

He decided to let mischa stay at his house, if he wanted to.
He arrived home, and gently shook mischas shoulders.

"misch, were at my house, you wanna stay?"

Mischa rubbed his eyes as he blinked and nodded to signify yes.

Then he walked into the house. Got straight into noels bed and fucking k/o'd.

Noel took the effort of getting into his pjs. Then he got into bed with the sleepy other.

"hold me." mischa said with almost anger.
"yes boss" noel sarcastically replied.
And they cuddled until the next day.
