Vanessa's POV:

I walk into Swellview Junior High to see my three friends. Jasper is holding what seems to be a new bucket, and Charlotte is holding a fruit bar up to her ear. 

"Why is Charlotte talking to that fruit bar?" I ask, walking up to Jasper and Henry. 

They shrug, and Jasper lifts up his bucket. "Look, Vanessa! I got a magnetic bucket!" Jasper takes the bucket, and it sticks to the lockers. 

"Woah. Who knew we had the technology?" I say sarcastically.

Charlotte runs back over to us. "Hey, hey, look. She's coming." She whispers to Henry.

I look over to see the new girl, Bianca, walking into the hallway. 

"Oh, man." Henry sighs with a smile.

Charlotte gently pushes him forward. "Go talk to her."

"Who? Bianca?" Jasper asks.

Charlotte nods. "You know you like her." She says to Henry. 

"But Henry likes Chloe." Jasper raises an eyebrow. 

I roll my eyes. "He's not going to see Chloe for months. She's doing that reality show Kid's in the Woods."

"What's it about?" Jasper asks.

I blink and stay silent for a moment. "Kids. In the woods."

"Oh." Jasper nods. "Great title."

Sometimes Jasper can be a little slower than average.

"Look! Bianca's alone." Charlotte points over to the water fountain where Biance is hunched over, drinking.

Henry takes a deep breath and nods. "Okay. I'm going in."

He walks over to Bianca nonchalantly, and she stands up straight and turns around to look at Henry with a sweet smile.

Henry hits the frozen state. He smiles back, not saying anything. Biance raises her eyebrows, nodding along with Henry. She slowly turns and walks away with a weirded out look.

And Henry thought he was the king of talking to girls. I shake my head, embarrassed of my friend.

Henry spins on his heel and walks back to us. 

"You didn't say anything." Charlotte says, giving her signature look.

Henry scoffs. "I let my eyes do the talking."

"They said: dur-duh-de-duh." Charlotte makes a weird noise to signify Henry being in a trance when he stared at Bianca.

Me and Jasper nod along, agreeing. Henry rolls his eyes.

I walk into the main room of the Man-Cave through the sprocket. I see my dad sitting in the monitor chair with his hands covering his face, Henry standing still in the middle of the room, and Charlotte and Schwoz writing on the board.

"What's the poops?" I ask the room as I hop down the steps.

"I already used that line." Henry says in a very bland monotone.

I look at person, my eyes zooming back and forth. "What happened?"

"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" My dad exclaims.

My eyes go wide. "Whaaaaat."

Charlotte groans. "You're not gonna die. You're indestructible. We are all going to die."

"Well, it's still bad for me." My dad whimpers. "Who am I going to talk to when you're all dead?"

"Whoa, whoa, what is going on here?" Henry asks. My guess is that he walked in just moments before me, and we're both on the same page.
