It had been months since the group of 16 chose to not participate in the killing game. Until a new motive arrived that was.

In an attempt to start the twisted form of entertainment and to save the people she's grown to care about, Tsumugi Shirogane picked a victim and made a plan.

It was true she was the mastermind and had the power to end the game entirely with just a switch, but what was the point of Danganronpa if not to instil despair?

Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Pianist. Lovely blonde hair, dazzling purple eyes and charming smile. Her death would truly sow the seed of despair in the remaining students, especially a certain boy with an unknown talent, and effectively save them at the same time.

It was brilliant! First she'd lure an unsuspecting victim into the library under the guise of bonding, then she'd leave her there to read, some other students stopping by for plausible deniability, and set off her trap conveniently kept in her secret room. The trap was planned to kill the blonde in an instant, preventing anyone nearby from hearing her final moments.

A metal ball, significantly heavier than one would think, was to be the fatal weapon. It was a lot less blood and less likely to have any incriminating evidence on it compared to anything else around, so Tsumugi thought it to be the best course of action. After all, who would think the Ultimate Cosplayer would wield such a thing?

Tsumugi made her way to the dormitories, careful to avoid the eyes of her other classmates.

"Akamatsu, Amami." She said plainly in greeting, earning a beaming smile from her target and an acknowledging nod from her partner as they turned their attention to her.

"Shirogane! We haven't seen you in a bit, what have you been up to?" The blonde asked as she gently took Tsumugi's hands in hers.

"Oh, I'm surprised you're interested in what a plain girl like me would have been up to."

"You're not plain, I've told you already to stop calling yourself that." Kaede lightheartedly scolded. "But of course I'd be curious, we're friends."

Friends...that was a title Tsumugi was sure didn't fit the nature of her relationship with the pianist.

In the months they've been trapped, Kaede had built a bond with everyone except her. The cosplayer thought it was simply just how it was, for her to be alone while everyone else got along perfectly.

The sudden declaration of friendship from the blonde made her hesitate on her plan for a few moments. Nevertheless, she had 14 classmates to protect and this was the only way she could without ruining the entire game's purpose.

"I was wondering...if you wouldn't mind going to the library with me..." Teal eyes looked hopeful as she briefly made eye contact with her target. "A-as a girls' hangout type of thing I mean."

Kaede looked back at Rantaro for his opinion, perhaps hoping he would insist on joining as he had hung out with girls for most of his life.

"I don't see a problem with it, I'll just find something else to do in the meantime." He shrugged, earning a small smile from the blue haired girl.

"Oh...well since Amami doesn't have a problem with it, let's go!" The pianist said, forcing enthusiasm into her words.

On the way to the library they passed the Ultimate Detective, Shuichi Saihara, pacing around a small area in the hallway.

Before Kaede could ask, however, Tsumugi pulled her along.

The library was empty, since it was rather early in the day, but that was perfect for Tsumugi to start her plan.
