Chapter 4 - Rest?

  "Don't touch me!" I yelled at Levi with disgust coating my voice.

"Tsk," he scoffed while rolling his eyes, pushing me back to my dull prison cell. 

Oh, sorry, I meant "room". Levi slammed the door hard, it shutters on its hinges and vibrates through the room. I was looking around, taking in the bland white walls. It has dents and fingerprints from trying to escape with false hope, or simply out of burning rage. Two dirty cots that are hell to sleep in, a toilet with no privacy, and padding on the floors, although I don't mind the padding since the ground is hard and dirty. There's nothing remotely dangerous to attack the guards with. The ceiling is extremely high with glinting cameras always watching. We also have a rack with identical outfits, just the boys wear pants and we wear skirts, which is extremely unfair and sexist! Also minus the size, of course, they are the same. 

"Agh!" I felt a hand touch my back, I immediately turned around ready to punch. 

           But fastly reeled as I saw it was just Alex. We were both parent figures to the smaller kids and he's like a brother. He's younger than me by a few months, but a few inches taller, being here has stunted my growth a lot. I'm around 5 feet and he is around 5'4. He has curly long blond hair, the only time we can cut our hair is as a punishment, but many of us are grateful for that 'punishment'. Mine's short right now, I'm still in trouble as they say. Alex is tall and lanky like me we both have very little muscles and fat due to malnutrition. 

            Anyways, he pulls me into his chest comforting me as a cry from the pain and stress of coming face to pain with the Alien Queen. I tell him everything they did to me so I don't bottle it up and completely ruin my mind. He comforts me holding me till I'm done. 

"I'm so so sorry!" He says really, "I wish I could have protected you!"

 "It's fine" I tell him still sniffling. 

I walk over to my cot and lay down groaning because I'm sore. I turn my head toward Alex, "How long was I gone?"

 "About 2 and a half days, Aurora was worried sick. I think she feels guilty."

 "Ughhh" I groan, she was supposed to I love her so I protect her. 

"I'll just have to tell her at dinner." I tell Alex. 

           All of a sudden the door bangs open, and Levi walks in. He's laughing a horrible laugh, one like a smokers. He turns his ugly head at me and says, " ha, you really think you're getting dinner. Sure! You'll get punishment as your dinner. You disgraced us in front of the Alien Queen passing out like you did, I'd bet you don't even know what happened!"

 Alex looks back in forth between me and Levi deciding whether to stay quiet and safe or fight for me and get punished instead of or with me. I look away from Levi and mutter to Alex, " Don't do it it's not worth it, just let me take it. Protect the others."

 He looks at me and nods then turns away. I offer my hands to Levi so he can take me, but he just laughs harder, "ha, you actually think you're gonna go now?! No, you're gonna stay here till dinner then I'll punish you there."

 My eyes widen a public punishment I'd never had that before 'what about the kids' I think with fear. Levi leaves and I shut my eyes trying to get some sleep before tonight. 

Hey guys, so sorry I didn't update last week I was really busy as school was ending then my race was the day after. Also thanks for 100 reads. So yeah, but I should be able to update more often now that it's summer break!
