Chapter 2: Wonders of The Idol World

'Tik. Tok. Tik. Tok.' surrounds the office Sakura is currently waiting in. As soon as her and her members knew about the dating scandal that suddenly emerged from nowhere, she was called by the Head Director of Source Music.

Sakura couldn't believe what was happening. She only knew Bambam as a good friend. Both of them haven't even seen eachother that much ever since their collab, and the only time they ever decided to hang out, those dating rumours rose up.

Sakura sighs heavily, her right leg bouncing up and down as she nervously waits for the Head Director to arrive in the office. She scans the room, it's eerily squeekily white and clean. She never imagined she'd end up in the Head's office with the reason being of a dating scandal. Usually it being a congratulatory cheer with the other members by her side. But now, it is only her and Manager Lee in the office.

Just then, the door knob unlatches soundly. Sakura jumps out of her seat to greet the director, but was met with a suprise.

"Oh, hello- Sunbaenim...?" Sakura bows to the person in front of her with confused eyes. The person in front of her was none other than Jeon Wonwoo of Seventeen while the person behind him could assumingly be his Manager. She hurriedly sits down back on her chair, this time more uncomfortably knowing there is another presence in the room she isn't familiar with unlike Manager Lee.

She's dumbfounded and wants to ask a question as to why Jeon Wonwoo would be sitting in the office of the Head Director of Source Music?

"Wonwoo sunbaenim is under Pledis Entertainment, right? So why is he here?" Sakura whisperly asks her Manager.

"I'm trying to find that out too Sakura-shi, I'll go ask his Manager right now." Manager Lee steadily replies.

Sakura gulps, Wonwoo was sitting at the opposite ends of the table, right infront of her. He seemed calm, yet noticeably nervous with the way he was biting his inner cheek. This whole situation couldn't confuse Sakura anymore than this, but knew that if she just waited for the Head Director, all of this would be explained.

"Alright, sorry for keeping everyone waiting." The Director suddenly walks in, Manager Kim and Wonwoo's Manager huriedly stopped their talk and greeted him.

I stood up from my seat and bowed to greet the Head, Wonwoo doing the same. Suddenly, someone else walks in that seemed to be coming in with the Head Director of Source Music.

"Seat down everyone. We have alot to talk about." He speaks out and goes to stand by the Head Director. "Sakura, am I right?" I nodded in response.

"You might now know me, Sakura-shi, so I'll introduce myself. I am the Head Director of Pledis. You can call me Director Kang" He speaks. "I am here with you today to announce an important matter alongside Director Shin of Source Music."

He then continues. "Let's get one thing straight, Sakura-shi, Are you dating Bambam?" He asks me.

"Not at all! We are friends hanging out when suddenly all of these articles came out." I retorted as fast as I could. Director Shin chuckles. "Well, you seem genuine so I'll believe you." He says. "These rumours are getting out of hand. Full of conspiracy and hearsay. I'll say what I can say but, someone is definitely targetting our label's artists." I tilt my head in confusion and Director Shin must've noticed.

"Now, you might've or might've not seen the K-All news article but the exact same thing happened to Wonwoo-shi here a month ago... He was accused of dating a famous actress, Kim So-Hyun wasn't it?" His gaze was towards Jeon Wonwoo. He agreeingly nods as well.

"We thought the rumours would've died down now that Sonight and Pledis Entertainment declined the dating rumours. Yet, 4? 5? Or 6? articles pop up everyday from famous news agencies all over the world. They just never seem to let go of the dating scandal." Director Shin says.

Director Kang then steps up to speak. "We think it's happening to you too, Sakura-shi. We noticed, in those articles written about your scandal. You are blamed, the wordings are foul, clearly with bad intentions,".

"So me and uhh- Director Shin needs to put a stop to this." Director Kang sits down in his office chair again, with Director Shin standing behind him.

"Sakura-shi, Wonwoo-shi, I want you both to date eachother just for some time and then we can stage a breakup-"

"A WHAT?!"

I didn't even realize how I slammed my palms onto the mahogany table, standing up on my feet, coincidentally Wonwoo did the same thing.

"Listen, kids, It would only be for 8 months. Just enough for the rumours to die down... The Ceo of HYBE knows about this plan and deemed it an agreeable plan that has an exceeding chance of 99.9%. All you have to do is go on orchestrated public dates handled by us." Director Kang then speaks up again.

"We will make an image and promote you both as the '4th Gen It Couple'. Ensuring that you guys will not recieve negative backlash from this."

"Also, this is very confidential. Only Manager Lee and Manager Park can know about this. Not even your group mates, understood?"

What have I gotten myself into?
