The dimly lit room felt like a chamber of judgment as Jimin sat in the chair, soaked and shivering from the cold water that Jungkook had dumped over him. His heart pounded in his chest as he waited for Jungkook's next move, knowing that the consequences of his actions were far from over.
Moments later, Jungkook returned, his expression hardened into a mask of resolve. He stood before Jimin, his eyes piercing through the silence like shards of ice.
"Stand up," Jungkook's voice was low, commanding.
Jimin obeyed, rising from the chair with trembling legs. He couldn't bring himself to meet Jungkook's gaze, the weight of his guilt bearing down on him like a crushing weight.
"You've brought shame to our name," Jungkook's voice was cold, devoid of any hint of emotion. "Your actions have cost us lives, Jimin. That's not something that can be forgiven easily."
Jimin's throat tightened, his eyes burning with unshed tears. He knew he deserved whatever punishment Jungkook deemed fit, but the anticipation of it was almost unbearable.
Jungkook stepped closer, his hand reaching out to grip Jimin's chin firmly, forcing him to look into his eyes. "You will pay for this," he said, his voice a whisper but filled with a deadly seriousness that sent a chill down Jimin's spine.
Without warning, Jungkook's other hand shot out, delivering a stinging blow across Jimin's cheek. The sound echoed in the room, followed by a sharp intake of breath from Jimin.
"That's for every life lost because of your recklessness," Jungkook's words were like venom, each syllable laced with anger and disappointment.
Jimin staggered back, his cheek throbbing with pain. He knew he deserved the punishment, but the physical manifestation of it was a stark reminder of the consequences of his actions.
But Jungkook wasn't done. He delivered another blow, this time to Jimin's other cheek, the force of it making Jimin stumble backward.
"And that's for every family torn apart," Jungkook's voice was a growl, his eyes blazing with fury.
Jimin's knees buckled, but Jungkook held him upright, his grip unyielding. He delivered another blow, this time to Jimin's abdomen, knocking the breath out of him.
"That's for tarnishing everything we've worked for," Jungkook's voice was cold, the weight of his words heavier than the physical blows.
Jimin doubled over, gasping for air, his entire body trembling with pain and remorse. He knew he deserved every strike, every ounce of punishment for the lives lost because of his actions.
As Jungkook released him, Jimin sank to the floor, his face buried in his hands as he wept. He had brought this upon himself, and now he had to bear the consequences, both physical and emotional, of his wrongdoing.
