ANOTHER DAY and The rooftop was the same as it always had been—barren and worn, its concrete edges overlooking the quiet, sprawling city below. It was their place, a silent refuge from the world, a space that held all the unspoken words between them.
Katsuki Bakugou stood still, his hands clenched into fists, the biting night air doing little to cool the heat rising in his chest.
She stood just a few feet away, her back to him,The swell of her stomach was more noticeable now, even beneath the loose fabric of her t-shirt. The reality of it all hit him in waves, crashing over the walls he had built for so long. There was something heavy between them, something unsaid, something they were both waiting for the other to voice.
His usual pride, his sharp edges, all of it seemed to fall away as he moved forward. Without thinking, he engulfed her from behind, wrapping his arms around her in a way that felt unfamiliar—gentle, protective. The warmth of her body against his sent a strange ache through his chest.
He rested his chin against the top of her head, the weight of everything pressing down on him.
They both had something up their sleeves. They both knew it. But neither wanted to be the first to break the silence. The wind howled softly around them, carrying the weight of their unsaid words.
Finally, Katsuki did something he wasn’t used to .The words felt foreign on his tongue, awkward in his mouth, but he forced them out anyway.
“I’m sorry...” His voice was hoarse, almost a whisper, but in the stillness, it felt deafening.
The girl froze in his arms. She hadn’t expected that—never from him. Her eyes widened, disbelief flickering across her face, but she said nothing. She couldn’t, not yet.
Katsuki tightened his grip slightly, pressing his forehead into her shoulder.
“For everything,” he added, the words falling from his lips in a way that felt raw, like a wound he had been avoiding for too long.
“I want us to start over... you, me, and this kid. Just the three of us. We’ll go somewhere far, somewhere no one knows us.”
The words tasted strange, alien, as they left his mouth. He didn’t even realize he was saying them until they were out. His throat felt tight, his chest heavy. This wasn’t him—he wasn’t the guy who said things like this, who wanted things like this. But looking at her now, feeling her against him, he couldn’t deny that it was the truth.
This was the girl he had once thought of as beneath him, someone insignificant. And now... now, she was everything.
She didn’t respond right away. She didn’t know how. Her fingers trembled slightly as she clenched her skirt fabric on sides .
They stood there in silence, for a while .
Katsuki’s arms stayed around her, his body pressed close to hers, but his mind was anything but calm. His hands, still resting on her sides, began to move—hesitant at first—trailing slowly over the familiar contours of her body.
