Katsuki's mind raced, a torrent of conflicting emotions swirling within him as he watched her delicate form silhouetted against the starry sky. The cool night air caressed his skin, but he felt no comfort in it. His eyes traced the curve of her neck, the gentle slope of her shoulders, remembering how they trembled beneath his touch. He clenched his fists, nails digging into his palms, as he grappled with the gnawing emptiness inside him.

He had everything he thought he wanted - her body, her submission, her constant presence. Yet it all felt hollow, a pale imitation of the connection he truly craved. In the quiet moments like this, when she gazed longingly at the freedom of the open sky, the truth he tried so desperately to ignore clawed its way to the surface. Her compliance was born of fear, not desire.

He never wanted a child. The idea had always seemed absurd to him, a distraction from his ambitions. When he got her pregnant, it was a move, a way to mark her as his own and bind her to him .

He wanted to cause her discomfort, to ensure she would never forget about all the tortures she has gone through. the child would be a constant reminder of that . But now,

the reality of the life growing inside her hit him with an unexpected force. His usual hard edges seemed to soften slightly. How could he feel so lenient towards her, towards this situation?

Maybe he knew the answer but his ego won't let him accept it .

Despite his knowledge of her deception, he found himself playing along, not out of any desire to catch her in the act, but because a small, treacherous part of him yearned for her to abandon her murderous scheme and surrender to him completely. It was a maddening contradiction, this desire for her to reciprocate his feelings, to see beyond the facade she had meticulously crafted. He despised himself for indulging in such foolish fantasies, for allowing sentiment to cloud his judgment and undermine his resolve. And yet, despite his best efforts to quash these irrational longings, they persisted, gnawing at him from within like a relentless beast. Katsuki cursed himself for his weakness, for entertaining the notion that she could ever truly care for him.

He hated himself for agreeing to the romantic date she had desperately requested on the rooftop that day. He knew it was a trap, yet he couldn't resist her seductive advances. She had lured him in with promises of passion and intimacy..

As the memories came crashing down with brutal force. He felt his heart ignite in a blaze of agony as he relived that fateful night at the resort.

He couldn't wrap his mind around it, couldn't comprehend how she could have done it. How she could have coldly aimed and pulled the trigger without a second thought.

He had known, of course. He had seen the glint in her eyes, the slight tremor in her hand as she reached for her drink. The way she kept glancing at her purse, where he was certain the gun lay hidden.

He had known, and yet he had played along. A part of him - the part that craved chaos, that delighted in pushing boundaries - wanted to see if she would go through with it. Would she actually pull the trigger? Would her resolve crumble at the last moment?

He wished for her to stop on her own .

He followed her lead, disguising his true intentions not out of malice but out of desperation. Every fiber of his being wanted her to stop before she pulled the trigger. He just hoped she wouldn't do it , not because of fear , because ..

maybe she wouldn't hate him enough .

maybe she would start feeling something for him too.

Self-loathing flooded through him as he he knew he had bullied this girl, and now he was relying on her to feel something for him too. How could he be so foolish as to let down his defenses and trust in someone who he had hurt so deeply?
