49. Double Happiness

The house was quiet and peaceful Jungkook and Jimin had fallen asleep in each other's arms content and happy.

But around 3 a.m. Jungkook stirred awake his ears catching the sound of muffled crying.

Blinking in the dim light he turned to see Jimin sitting up in bed his face hidden in his hands as he sobbed softly.

Concern surged through Jungkook and he quickly reached out his voice gentle and soothing.

"Baby what's wrong?" he asked sitting up and placing a comforting hand on Jimin's back.

Jimin looked up at Jungkook his tear-streaked face filled with a mix of emotions.

"I'm sorry hyungie" he said his voice trembling

What happened tell me Jungkook said softly taking his hand.

"I didn't mean to wake you. I'm just so hungry" Jimin said crying.

Jungkook's heart melted at the sight of his cute distressed husband.

He smiled softly wiping away Jimin's tears with his thumb.

"Hey it's okay. You and our baby need food and I'm here to take care of you" Jungkook said softly caressing his cheek. Jimin sniffed looking at him with teary eyes.

Without another word Jungkook gently picked Jimin up in a bridal style making Jimin gasp softly and cling to his neck.

Jungkook kissed Jimin's forehead as he carried him downstairs to the kitchen.

He carefully placed Jimin on the kitchen counter smiling as he saw Jimin's cheeks flush.

"Now tell me what do you want to eat?" Jungkook asked placing his both hands on either side of Jimin on the counter.

Jimin thought for a moment biting his lip adorably. "Can you make me some pancakes? With strawberries and whipped cream?"

"Of course. Coming right up" Jungkook said smiling.

He turned to gather the ingredients his movements quick and efficient.

As he worked Jimin watched him with wide adoring eyes feeling a sense of warmth and security that chased away his earlier sadness.

Jungkook whisked the batter, his hands moving with practiced ease. "You know angel I think our baby is going to love pancakes just as much as you do."

Jimin giggled the sound bright and cheerful.

"Maybe but I think they're going to love your cooking even more" Jimin said

Jungkook grinned pouring the batter onto the hot skillet.
"Well I'll make sure to cook for you both as much as I can"

As the pancakes cooked Jungkook glanced over at Jimin who was swinging his legs back and forth on the counter his eyes following Jungkook's every move.
