Anita stood in the kitchen trying to find the right words to say to her granddaughter without making her feel attacked, being that she might already feel that way.
Honesty sat on the couch staring into space , feeling a sense of loss and loneliness, she thought being in her grandma presence would make it all go away but it didn't.
A tear fell from her eye but as she went to wipe it another one dropped from her other eye and then another one so she just rested her hands beside her.
Anita initially thought to rush over there but she decided letting her feel the emotions fully would be best. To hell with that shethought and walked over to honesty in the living room.
To think she had all the right words to say was one thing but actually saying them was another. Anita was against prescriptions for mental health, she believed more so in home remedies.
Honesty laid her head down on her grandma's shoulder , without her saying a single word , Honesty cried harder than she ever has since getting the news her mom would be back in the picture.
Anita was not ready for this type of cry but she engulfed Honesty in her arms providing her with the best comfort she knew how. Honesty heart started to beat faster while her breathing became slow paced.
"My-" honesty took a breath or at least tried to "chest grandma" it started to feel like the room was closing in on her. Anita knew she was having an anxiety attack so she started telling her to breathe.
"Look at me come on baby " Honesty eyes were closing " come on honesty BREATHE I NEED YOU TO BREATHE BABY"
Honesty tried to breathe even though it hurt her too "grandma I can't , -" "I can't do this , I hate her " " I'm sorry I can't I can't "
"Omgosh" " tight grandma " honesty started hyperventilating "grandma , " "grandma I need you ," Anita just hugged her while rocking her side to side .
Twenty minutes later Honesty body became limp meaning she fell asleep. Anita tapped her in order to get her up so she could go to her room. Honesty finally woke up from the tapping, then grabber her phone , and said "Thankyou grandma I love you."

Honesty opened her eyes not knowing she had only been asleep for a couple hours but those couple hours felt like forever. She went to roll over but couldn't so she turned around to see Haleigh snuggled up behind her.
Honesty smiled but that quickly went away as she felt the guilt coming in. The guilt was coming from knowing Harleigh tended to always play middle man while not giving herself the time of day.
