Joey gets awfully close to me, his eyes traveling between my eyes and my lips. Feeling the tension grow between us, all of a sudden a loud clap of thunder startles us both and the lights flicker in the shop making us both look up at them.
"I should find some flashlights before the power goes out." I say looking back at Joey.
"Scared of the dark?" Joey smirks down at me making you blush.
"More like scared of you tripping on something on in here and affecting our insurance rate ." I say back before going to my tool box and looking for the flashlights I use when working on something tedious on a car.

"Now where have you been?" Reina says from the couch as I enter the house.
"What the hell are you doing in here? How'd you get inside?" I ask confused knowing Cole was out with Kitty tonight.
"Your stupid key rock holder you guys unsuspiciously have by the door. I needed coffee and thought i'd just hang out here until you got home." She shrugs sipping on her coffe. She had made herself at home and wad watching something on the TV.
"Of course...I'm going to take a quick shower. Did you eat? order a pizza?" I ask before heading upstairs.
"You read my mind, on it." She agrees.
Taking a shower and washing off today's work day. I dry myself off and put on some pajama shorts and a tank top. By the time I went back downstairs the pizza had arrived and Reina was just getting herself her first slice.
"So anything interesting happen at work today?" Reina asks as I get myself a paper plate.
" Um, that Joey guy came by actually."
"Well isn't he getting his car fixed by you guys?" Reina asks.
"Yeah but he sort of came over to let me know that he heard Dean saying something about messing with my car then we got stuck at the shop during the storm and we had a weird moment." I shake my head bafore taking a bite of my pizza slice.
"Okay we're going to come back to that last part but what hell is Dean's problem? He literally cheated on you with multiple women but yet he's obsessed with you and making your life miserable?" Reina scoffs getting annoyed.
"He's clearly mad that I've cut him off completely unlike his other exes that he still has around giving him attention." I shrug.
"Well he knows better than fuck with any of us but going back to the Joey guy...What happened? You guys hook up?" She asks with a grin playing on her face.
"We did not hook up but he sort of got a little too close and was flirty. It was a weird moment."
"Girl just hit that already!!! He's hot and so clearly into you." Reina practically yells at me.
"There's just something I can't put finger on with him."
"Do you think it's because of Dean or you just don't trust him cause he's a random?" Reina asks me.
"Little of both. But enough about me...why aren't you with Tommy?" I ask sitting down at the breakfast table.
"He had to go check on his grandma in Ft. Lauderdale, she had a scare again and left something on the stove and he was going to see if he could get her into a facility where they can take care of her." Reina sighs.
"I told him if he needed cash to let us know." I shake my head knowing how hard headed he was.
"I offered him help and he didn't take it either." Reina rolls her eyes.
"I'll talk to him with Cole and see if he lets some of his guard down." I nod.
We finish up our food when suddenly there was a frantic knock on the front door. Reina and I look at each other confused. I quickly point Reina to the bookcase and she goes and grabs the gun that we had hidden there and she stands behind the door. I open the door and see it was just Johnny but he looked like he had seen a ghost.
"What the hell is going on?" I ask confused.
"The shop! It's on fire! I just passed it on my way home from grocery shopping with mom. I couldn't get a hold of Cole!" Johnny says out of breath.
"What?!" Reina and I ask in unison.
"You gotta get down there quick, the fire department was already there putting it out." Johnny frantically says.
My heart beating heavy in my chest I put a hoodie on that I had by the door and a pair of old sneakers before grabbing my keys and heading there with Reina as fast as I could. Johnny following us closely. Pulling up to the scene, I see the building that's been in the family for 50 years engulfed by flames.
"Holy shit." Reina says as I park and get out of the car.
"Ma'am! You can't be here right now— I'm the owner of this business, you can't tell me where I can't be." I snap at him and the guy just backs off.
"I'm so sorry." Reina hugs me, Johnny pulling up to us and getting out to console me as well. I notice the fire was mostly where the office was which meant there could be a chance that the cars that were inside would be okay.
"I need you guys to get ahold of Cole, he was going out to Kitty tonight to their usual spot if they're not there they're definitely at her place." I tell them and they both nod.
"We can't both leave you here— just go I'll be fine." I nod. They both hesitate for moment before getting into Johnny's car and leaving the scene.
Soon after I just stare at the flames of the building and the now familiar NSX & a familiar Acura Integra pull up.
"What the hell happened?" Eddie Jr from the auto parts store asks running out of his car. Eddie was an old friend, he was a bit older than Cole and I but we went to school with him. Our dads went to school with each other.
"You okay?" Joey asks me searching for any sign of me being hurt.
"I'm fine, and I don't know what happened. Johnny was the one that saw this coming from the Publix." I shake my head.
"I'm going to need you guys to move out of here incase there's any sort of explosion. We can't have you guys getting hurt." What was obvious the fire captain said to us.
As much as I didn't want to move a foot, he was right. There were all types of combustible things inside.
"Joey get her over there safe, I'm going to make a few calls to try and get to the bottom of this." Junior says.
"C'mon, let's get your car across the street. We don't need anyone getting hurt." Joey says to me and I just nod feeling numb.
