I walked to the front door and swung it open revealing Garrett, "Get in a fight on the way here?" I refer to his busted lip and bruised cheek.

"No, I just ran into the wall." I could tell he was lying but I didn't push it any farther, "Whatever, follow me." I gesture for him to follow me and jog upstairs towards my room.

"This place is gigantic, Your family must be rich."

"You're very observant."

"Do you always use sarcasm to avoid conversation?"

"Nope just to dumb people like you!" I opened the door to my room and let him walk in, "Room looks just like I expected, boring and filled with books."

"My rooms not boring." I argued.

"Not a single hint of color, just a grey and black room." I look around my room and furrow my brows, "Grey and black are colors."

"Eh."

"Whatever just let me see your grades." I mumble as I close my door and sit at my desk, He sits down on my other chair and pulls a piece of paper out his bag.

I grab it and skim his report card for what subjects he was the worst in, "You're gonna need a miracle and I'm not that." I hand him back the paper and he scoffs, "You said you would help me."

"I didn't think they were that bad."

"At least I have a B in chemistry,"

"Yea but the rest you have two D's and a F."

"Let's start with Math, That's where you have a D in."

"If we get that up you could focus on your worse ones later."

"I'll show you how to solve the problem then I'll write my own problems, and I'll have them do you on your own."

He nods and I grab a piece of paper from my shelf, I wrote down an equation and he leans in focusing on what I was doing.

I explained how to solve it and gave him tips on how to do it, "Now do these six problems on your own." I hand him the sheet of paper and grab my book to kill time.

I began to read as he grabbed my pencil and began to work on the problem, A few pages later he announced he was done.

"Let me see." He hands it to me and I read the paper, "You got all of them right except one."

He frowns and looks at the paper, "Which one?"

"The last, You were supposed to multiply."

"But it's a good start, You did good." My door swung open revealing my dad, "Oh, I wasn't aware you had someone over." I glare at him for him to leave.

"I can't cook tonight, do you want some wings?"

"Sure, I'll take barbecue."

"What about you?" He looked towards Garrett, "I'm not staying long, I'm fine."

"I'll get you the same as Rowan." My dad closed the door and I spun the chair back around, "He doesn't take no for an answer."
