𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨

My eyes slowly fluttered open as I rose up rubbing my face, I looked to the side of me to see my phone.

I must've fell asleep while waiting for Garrett, I grabbed my phone to see he was still on call. Why didn't he just leave now what do I do now.

I don't wanna be rude and leave, I groaned and plugged my phone in setting it down.

He was clearly on a game telling by the sound of
his background hearing shooting noises.

"Finally awake?" I freeze and look down at my phone, "How'd you know?"

"I didn't, I checked each hour to see if you were awake." I chuckled and put the phone to my ear, "Why didn't you just leave?"

"You called me, I figured you would miss me if I did."

"Whatever, goodbye Garrett."

"Bye."

I hang up and drop my phone down walking to the bathroom, I look down at the counter and look at the picture of me and- actually I don't know what to call her now.

I punched the mirror out of anger and snapped back to reality, "Dad's gonna kill me."

"What was that noise?" My eyes widen looking at the door, "Nothing!"

I bend down and hold my hand as he swings the door open, I put my hand behind my back and smile.

He looks down, "Is that blood?" I shake my head no and he grabs my arm making me wince, "Rowan Alexei Esposito."

"I'm sorry, I just got angry and punched the mirror." He looked at the mirror and glared back at me, "La prossima volta che distruggi qualcosa in questa casa ti scuoierò vivo!" (Translation: Next time you destroy something in this house I will skin you alive.)

"Yes sir."

"Get the first aid kit," I grabbed it from under the sink and let him tend to my wound. "Look I know you're mad about this thing with your mom but don't blame her."

"I don't, I blame them for what they did to her."

"We're trying to figure out how she can gain her memories back, get the person who did this to her to fix her."

"If she doesn't Remember ever again, Do you think she'll leave us permanently this time?" He pulled me in for a hug, "I'm not gonna lie to you, I don't know what will happen. I just pray we'll figure this out and we get your mom back."

He finished wrapping the bandage on me and kissed me on my head, "It'll all be okay." He left out the room and I sighed throwing my head back.

𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨

I bounced my leg up and down repeatedly as I looked at Garrett's empty seat, I wonder why he isn't here yet.

The door opened revealing Garrett holding an ice pack to his face with a bruised cheek, I frowned and watched him.
