Felix says, turning to Hannah with a look full of worry
"why why do I have to call Mom?" Hannah says beginning to worry for Felix is about to say
"I think Chan's kidnapped..."
"What why would you think such a thing he's just late getting home that's all it's, it's nothing crazy don't let your mind wonder to places like that I'm sure he'll be home soon. Let's just wait a little bit to see if he gets home OK."
Sitting on the couch, turning on the TV at the door, waiting to see if her brother would walk-through.
Felix decides to join her, sitting on the couch, shaking profusely s, sitting anxiously as his thoughts ran wild, slowly, taking over his mind, thinking what could've possibly happened to his friend.
Two hours pass and still no sign of Chan anywhere
Hannah finally gives in, and they call her mom
"Mom, I think you need to come home"
"Sweetie I'm at work I won't be able to be home for like another three hours just wait till your dad gets home OK and whenever you need, you can talk to him about, OK?"
"no Mom you need to come home now. it's Channie Hyung, he's missing" Hannah says, in a shaky voice on the brink of tears.
"What do you mean? Hannah? tell me what you mean?"
Hannah passes the phone to Felix so we could talk to her mom about what he found earlier in the day
"Hi Mrs. Bahng it's Felix. I don't know how to tell you this, but when we all got out of school we couldn't find Chris anywhere .he's normally the first one at the gate when were let out of school but this time he wasn't there we all waited at the gate for over 45 minutes but he never showed up and when we finally decided to start walking home we had gotten halfway down the street from the school and found his backpack in front of a convenience store it had his phone, his laptop , his books, but his wallet was gone. I thought he might've just headed home and dropped his bag or something, so I came here to talk to Hannah and asked if he was home, but she said that she hadn't seen him all day. we had checked his room, and he wasn't there, and we've been waiting here for over two hours trying to see if he would come home at any point in time and he hasn't shown up." Felix says with a lump forming in the back of his throat. it was hard for him to say such words thinking of the pain Mrs. Bahng must have been feeling. Felix started to cry slightly feeling as though there was not much he could do it was overwhelming. hearing Jessica cry on the phone had made Felix break down fully.
"What do you mean? Where is My Son Felix? Where is he!!!?"
"I don't know, ma'am, I wish I knew" Felix says, breaking down into tears
"Give the phone back to my daughter" Mrs. Bahng says, in a slightly angry tone, speaking through her cries
"yeah, Mom" Hannah says, taking the phone from Felix, putting it up to her ear waiting for her mom to speak once more
"I'm coming home. I'm calling the police. They should be at the house shortly. once they get there let them in. Tell them all that you know and wait for me to get home do you understand me?" Mrs. Bahng said franticly waiting for her daughters response ,but what she didn't know was her daughter had disassociated she was shutting down slowly her emotions were overpowering her making her feel like she was going numb. all Hannah felt she could do was stand, there phone to her ear frozen in time.
"Hannah, do you understand me?" Mrs. Bang says with a serious to her tone.
"I understand I'll see you when you get home. and mom?... I love you"
