CHAPTER #1
PAGE #1 title: "SHADOW OF THE UNKNOWN"In a world where everything seems just right for everyone else, there's fourteen-year-old (Sofia) tucked away in Her room, dreaming of a different story, she imagines what it would be like if Her brothers were kinder, if Her parents notice Her more, Sofia's a quiet, gentle soul, finding solace in the company of animals. She spends Her days gazing out the window, watching nature unfold with a heart weighed down by longing. She rarely speaks, preferring the quiet refuge of Her room to the bustle of family life.
As she lounged on Her bed, Her eyes were drawn to the window where she spotted a figure standing behind the curtain, she sat up. As the wind picked up the curtain rose, She laid eyes on Him for the first time. His form tall and blurred like a watercolor painting. His presence felt comforting and gentle, holding Her attention for a fleeting moment. With a whisper barely audible above the rustle of the breeze, she dared to ask. Who are you? But before the words could fully escape Her lips, He vanished like a fleeting dream, leaving behind only the echo of Her unanswered question.
PAGE #2 title: GOODBYE
Everything seemed to stop for a moment. She couldn't help but think about Him. Who was He? Where did He go? How did He come into Her thoughts and never leave? She never saw Him after that, yet he occupied her mind, keeping her awake at night. Was he a ghost, or an angel? Why had he appeared?
Two years passed, and nothing changed. She felt even more alone. Lying in bed, she thought about her family. They never let her go outside to the garden or pursue her studies. They treated her like she was unworthy, making her feel invisible.
Her older brother (Noah) suggested she needed therapy, Her middle brother (Owen) thought she should be sent to boarding school. Her younger brother (Finn) was embarrassed to call her his sister. Her parents always sided with her brothers, leaving her feeling more isolated then ever, Her parents decided to send her to boarding school without any word, she packed a few clothes and her beloved books, thinking of the time she saw Him. She whispered to herself, I wish He were an angel, or even a ghost. Would he take me away,if he ever comes back? Whoever you are, I won't be here when you return.
