yushi squirmed his way out of the car as he remained half-asleep. riku sighed before carrying him inside.

yushi snuggled in the crook of his neck, making himself comfortable in the male's hold. the maids greeted them along their way and riku whispered to one of the maids, who in return, nodded. riku glanced at the rails above that secures the second floor, then down to the male snoring softly in his arms.

troubled, he went around the house and inside a separate small cabin of where he sleeps when his family and relatives went to visit.

ah.. let me rephrase that.

went to have a gathering, without him.

he placed yushi down on the bed and the male immediately wrapped himself with the blanket like a burrito. riku chuckled at the sight.

"yushi.." he tried waking up the burrito. "i'll be back okay? stay here." he nudged the male and received a snore in response. riku felt like wanting to sleep next to him all of a sudden but he shook the thought in his head and turned around, "are you tired, yes. is that an excuse, probably." he covered his face with his hands and screamed for about 1 second before coughing back to reality. he then dragged his feet to the door and glanced at yushi before closing it behind him.

"who was that?"

"SON OF A-" riku clutched his chest and breathed for oxygen, "why would you.. and is whispering necessary?!" the younger tilted his head, "why do you look like you hid a body in there?"

riku gulped.

"i-i didn't. it's troublesome to even carry a piece of paper all the way here."

sakuya smirked, "knowing you and your lazy ass, i surely agree." that singlehandedly thrown riku off. "why don't we continue this inside, hm?"

"sure." sakuya squeezed himself between the gap of riku and the wall to head towards the cabin where the brown haired male was in. "HEY NOT THERE!"

riku got a grip of sakuya's wrist, holding him back from taking another step. "i knew it. you're hiding something!" sakuya shook his hands off of riku's grip and rushed inside.

"i swear if it's that ocean guy!"

"SAKUYA WAIT-"

as soon as the male swung the door open, he placed both of his hands on his waist and nodded, "hide and seek huh. sure, i'll play your game."

"sakuya please.." riku wandered his eyes around, also wondering where yushi had went. "want me to stop? tell me where he is then!" riku caught a glimpse of yushi's hair peeking out of the door. he gestured yushi to go outside quietly while sakuya searches inside.

"there's no one, see i told you." riku calmly lets the younger search his ass away. "i just wanna know who it was!"

he lets his hands drop on sakuya's shoulders and stared at him, "just know that it's not who you think it is and i'm alright. you don't have to worry, m'kay?" sakuya sighed, "fine. if you're lying, ryo will haunt you for the rest of your life!"

riku chuckled, "what do you mean? he probably does that to all of us."

the younger slumped his shoulders, "yeah.."

"come on, i'll let you eat before driving you off."

- at the back garden -

yushi yawned watching the moon in the sky. his energy sure dried out after all that happened in the morning.

"this is what you get for being a hard worker." laughing at himself, a pair of hands behind him snaked his waist. although he's tired, his mind pays attention to his surroundings. he knows no one would hold his waist like that other than—

"you have work?" yushi saw how riku was just about to approach him and he started to panic. "didn't you just-?" riku tilted his head, "did what?"

he looked down at his own and saw no hands that he thought belonged to riku.

that completely woke him up.

"s-sorry i was blabbering." he cursed in his head. riku then stood next to him. "oh." the male coughed, "by the way, i'm sorry for the interruption just now. you can move in my room if you want." yushi chuckled, "why? you hated it when i once slept next to you."

"okay, how is getting confused, hating?" riku gestured, trying to clear up the misunderstanding. "you just appeared out of nowhere, what kind of reaction do you expect? delighted?"

yushi pouted his lips, already accepting defeat. "i just thought the mattress at the cabin won't get you to sleep, a-and the dogs outside might wake you up too." riku glanced at the pouting male. "it's really okay, i won't scream at you again first thing in the morning."

riku raised his hand up, showing his palm. yushi stared at his hand, questioning his intention.

riku laughed, "you might run away again." yushi rolled his eyes and held the male's hand, "so are you concerned or what."

"tired. tired of you getting distracted and wandering off." yushi tsked, "i get it." riku giggled.

they went on their way inside and to riku's room upstairs.

- riku's room -

"are the pillows really necessary?"

yushi switched his sleeping position, facing the edge of the bed. "so you won't accuse me of anything." he thought a barrier would be a good idea to prevent unwanted touch. "this takes up a lot of space for crying out loud."

"it's for the best."

"iT's fOr tHe bEsT. bullshit." riku mocked. he took the pillows away and placed one for his feet for cushion, and one for him to cuddle with. "i won't mind, just don't kick me out of the bed." riku switched, his back facing the other.

"..goodnight." yushi's soft but tired voice came out as a whisper but riku heard it.

his lips curved up into a smile as he responds in his head.
