---"Are you serious?" We just finished putting our tent up. I nodded. "Mhmm. I don't want to go swimming. It's freezing tonight." Then I realized something. "Unless you want to go swimming with them?"
He immediately shook his head. "I could go swimming anytime." That made my smile grow wider. "Let's go, then."
"Hold on. This will be real quick." He said and ran back to the tent. I had a puzzled look. He's not going to ditch me, right? I sat on a log and waited for him.
Inigo. Why the hell did I even do that? I sighed. I took my phone out and dialed Sabrina's number.
"Hey honey" She said in a sweet tone.
"Sabby." I replied
"Is there any problem?"
"Oh no. No. It's just about... Inigo." I sighed
"What about him?"
"I just don't know why I accepted the deal."
"Grayson, remember?"
"I know but, I think it's not that worth it."
"Your choice, Sammy girl.---" I saw Blake walk towards my direction
"Hey I got to go. Blake's here." I cut her off.
"Ooh I see where ya'll going. Love you!"
"Haha. I love you too." I ended the call"Hey." I stood from where I was sitting. "Hey. Ready?" I asked. He flashed a bright smile and nodded.
---
"So why are we here again?"
"Just shut up." We are currently lying on the mat I placed on the ground. I don't know about him but my eyes are closed. I brought him to the place where I usually go every time we hang at the creek. Though this is the first time that I've tagged someone along with me. It's somewhere in the forest where you could literally get a good view of the stars. I opened my eyes.
"This is where I go to think about stuff. Or just get the most perfect view of the stars." He looked at me puzzled. "You were asking why we're here." I looked at him and smiled. "Oh." He replied. "This is indeed, a nice place to think about stuff." He agreed. "It's the big dipper." I pointed out. "And it's the small dipper." He pointed at the constellation beside the big dipper.
"How often do you go here?" He asked. I closed my eyes. "Every time we're here." I replied. "Is that the reason why I never see you around the tent area?" "Mhmm." I replied. We lied there for a moment until I've decided to open a topic. "So, Mr. Blake Johnson, A.K.A, the hot QB, tell me about you." I said. I heard him laugh.
"So you think I'm hot?" I bolted up "What the--" "I'm playing, okay. So about me?" He started off that made me go back to the position I was awhile ago. "Nothing special. I have a brother and I think everyone knows him. I mean, you do, right? Christian Johnson?" I nodded. He continued. "A bitchy step sister, and pretty much that's it ?" That made me laugh. I mean, that was kinda true. Chelsea Johnson is a bitch at sometimes. "What do you mean that's it? There's gotta be more, Johnson." I insisted. He took a deep breath before continuing.
"I live with my dad and Alyssa. Chelsea's mom. My dad started dating her four years after my mom died." We looked at each other. "Brain tumor." "I'm sorry." "No, it's fine. Having someone listen to my story makes me feel better." He smiled. "So yeah. They started dating and now they're married. Me and my brother couldn't really do anything about it. I don't know. It never felt like home ever since mom died." He paused for a moment. "I miss her." I looked at him. "So! Enough about me, pretty lady. What about you?" He asked. I looked at my phone.
"Maybe some other time, QB?" I stood and tapped my wrist. He groaned. "What a bummer!" I helped him up. "That's a knee slapper right there, Hunter." he said and I laughed. We headed back to the tents. He is going with the guys to do god-knows-what but before that, I called his attention. "Blake!" He looked back. I gave him a tight warm hug. I mean, a hug isn't that bad, right? As soon as I released from the hug, I gave him a bright smile. "Good night, Blake." I said and returned inside our tent. A hug would always make a sad soul feel better, right? I tucked myself in my sleeping bag and began to sleep.
I guess the bad boy isn't much of a bad boy at all.
