"So, what do you want?" After staring at each other for a couple seconds, I decided to finally ask.

"I'll keep this short," Saiki sighs, stepping outside and shutting the door behind him. "You said you were willing to try and learn how to use some of my powers, and I think it would be useful if I were to help you."

I raise an eyebrow at him. I'm not exactly sure if this whole thing is even possible, and yeah — it's not like I thought I could figure it out by myself, but I certainly didn't expect Pinky over here to suggest being my personal tutor or something.

He starts walking towards his front gate, not glancing behind as I take my turn to sigh and follow him. After walking a couple blocks in silence, Saiki speaks up again. "Honestly, I wanted to discuss this in more detail over coffee, but you, apparently, are so impatient that you had to ask as soon as I opened the door."

Rolling my eyes and speeding up slightly to fall into step with him, I shoot him a glare. "Oh, so sorry, I didn't realise you wanted me to make small talk and ask about your day." In return I get a scoff. Typical.

"We still have more to talk about, don't get your hopes up about leaving me behind so soon."
"I should've said I'd meet you there and stood you up."
"Ouch..."
"...Kidding, sorry Pinky." A grin splashes onto my face as he frowns at me, glaring. The pinkette stuffs his hands deeper into his pockets — seemingly biting his tongue for now.

Pulling out my phone, I check my notifications, reading them before deciding to leave a couple of my friends on delivered until I actually have time to respond to them. Instead, I tap on Instagram and scroll through some reels. Saiki leans over a little, peering at the screen as the two of us walk.

He scoffs. "What the hell is wrong with your feed?"

Looking up at him, I glance back down to my phone screen. So much for him biting his tongue.
"My friends keep sending me brain rot, they think it's funny." I smirk to myself, scrolling past the reel.
"Seriously?"
"Oh, shut up. You're acting like your friends aren't this shit," I wave my phone around. "—in human form." Chuckling to myself, I like the reel and scroll, glancing up at Saiki to catch a ghost of a smile on his lips.

The two of us carry on walking until we finally reach our beloved cafe, the bell tinkling as I push the door open and step inside. It's relatively empty — as per usual — but that's just the way we like it. Well, besides Saiki apparently wanting to tag along with me now. Picking a booth, I let out a long-winded sigh as I slump down on the cushions and set my phone on the table, screen-down.

"What is there to discuss, then? Seems like you said it all on the way here."
