A few days later

Tord sat at his desk, the soft glow of his computer screen casting a dim light on the piles of paperwork scattered in front of him. In the corner of his office, a makeshift mattress lay on the floor, covered in a freshly washed sheet. On it, Tom lay resting, his eyes closed as he tried to recover from his recent injury. Tord had set up the mattress so he could keep an eye on Tom while still getting work done. Beside Tom, Peter lounged on the mattress, engrossed in videos playing on his phone. The room was filled with a calming silence, broken only by the sound of Tord's pen scratching against paper and the occasional laughter from Peter at something he watched.

"Hey Red, remember that friend you were talking about a few months ago?" Peter asked.

"Which one? I got too many." Tord sighed, gripping his pen.

"Tord you have friends? After the incident? Damn I thought you never got any due to your yee yee looking ass haircut." Tom spat out.

"Shut up Tom! You got a similar haircut as me!" Tord growled.

"Mines hotter!" Tom pouted.

"Be quiet you too.. Anyways, the one with white puffy hair." Peter looked at Tord.

"I remember them. They died from that zombie apocalypse." Tord sighed once again, playing with his pen as he leaned forward.

"Damn. She's kind of a badass though."

"That's a guy!" Tord growled, crumbling his paperwork from anger.

"You for real? Even better!" Peter giggled.

"Stop talking, Peter!" Tord sighed and took a sip of his coffee, hoping it would help him calm down.

"Who are you guys even talking about?" Tom interjected with a confused tone, causing Peter and Tord to shift their gaze towards him.

Tord let out a low, frustrated growl and slammed his head onto his desk. "We're discussing Peter's desire to date a corpse."

"Hey Red, didn't you used to have a girlfriend?" Peter laid on his stomach, kicking his legs playfully in the air.

"Yup and since you mentioned that. Today would have been my son's third birthday," Tord said with a smirk, glancing down at Peter.

"Oh.. what happened to him..?" Tom softly asked.

"I pulled out." Tord let out a snort as he looked at Peter, causing Peter to burst into laughter, Tom has a strong desire to physically harm Tord.

"Ha, ha. What a hilarious joke, Tord," Tom said through gritted teeth.

Tord let out a chuckle. "I'm not even with her anymore. She was just an undercover spy, but I was smart enough not to tell her any secrets." He rolled his eyes at the thought of her. "In fact, I already took down the base she was working for, so chances are she's no longer alive."

Peter's eyes brightened with a memory. "Hey Red, do you remember that song we used to sing when we were kids? The one where we pretended your dad was chasing us."

"That was such a fun memory! We should definitely do it again sometime. I remember when it was recess back in my old school. The teacher would always pretend to chase me while Tom and Edd joined in while Matt watched with excitement," Tord reminisced, signing a document with his signature.
