Jasprit was not happy. He was sulking all day. He had a permanent pout on his face throughout the day.
You may ask why? How a chilled and mature Jassi is sad? Well that's because of an interview and a comment.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were shooting for a short video for Star Sports 'Bhuvi and Bumrah Get Candid' with Jatin Sapru.
When Jatin Sapru asked what would they be if not a cricketer. Bhuvi answered he would try for the Army.
"Meri family ka toh plan tha mujhe Canada bhejne ka. So imagine agar main abhi Canada me hota. Kahi kaam kar raha hota." Jassi said.
"Taxi chala raha hota." Bhuvi interjected.
Bhuvi laughed and hid his face behind Jassi. Jassi also laughed but deep down he was hurt by Bhuvi's comment.
Now Jassi was pacing in the shared room of Bhuvi and Jassi. Bhuvi entered and saw a tensed Jassi pacing.
"Kya hua bhai? Aise muh latka ke kyu ghum raha hai?" Bhuvi asked.
Jassi ignored him. Bhuvi frowned.
"Jassi, main kuch puch raha hu."
Jassi blatantly ignored him again. Bhuvi sighed and stood in his way. Jassi tried to turn but Bhuvi held his shoulder.
"Tujhe main kab se puch raha hu 'kya hua?' Tujhe sunai nahi de raha?" Bhuvi asked.
"Mat baat kar tu mujhse. Tu mujhe underestimate karta hai." Jassi said and pouted.
"Kya? Maine kab tujhe underestimate kiya?" Bhuvi asked.
"Tu ne kya kahan uss interview me? Ki main Canada me taxi chala raha hota?" Jassi asked.
Bhuvi sighed and closed his eyes.
"Yeh iss baare me baat hai." Bhuvi stated.
"Haan. Bura laga mujhe. Mujhe laga tu mera dost hai."
"Tune kyu joke aage badhaya hai ki tu subway me sandwich bech raha hota? Tab nahi bura laga tujhe?"
"I'm quite literate you know. Main business bhi khol sakta tha wahan pe." Jassi argued.
"Par tu toh India me hai na. Cricket khel raha hai humare desh ke liye. Phir hum iss bare me kyu discuss kar rahe hai." Bhuvi asked.
Jassi pouted and looked away.
"Bata na Jassi kya baat hai?" Bhuvi insisted.
"Yaar. I'm getting trolled a bit on internet and I guess wahi mere dimaag me tha when you said that main Canada me taxi chala raha hota. I thought you also think I don't deserve to be in this team." Jassi confessed.
"Tu paagal hai? Main toh bas tere maze le raha tha. Hum logo me toh yeh chalta hai na Jassi? Toh tu baatein dil pe mat le. Tu deserve karta hai iss team ko kyunki tu kaise bowling karta hai batsmen ko samajh me hi nahi aata tu kahan phekega." Bhuvi said and laughed.
Jassi scowled at him and tried to move away but Bhuvi hugged him tightly.
"Mera Yaar Hai Tu aur Tera Yaar Hu Main." Bhuvi said.
Jassi smiled and hugged Bhuvi back.
"But let's be honest, Taxi toh tu chala raha hota."
"BHUVI!!!!!" Jassi yelled and started hitting Bhuvi with pillow.
"ACCHA ACCHA SORRY!"
I saw this 'Taxi Driver' waala reel the other day and a particular comment caught my attention. An account wrote 'Bhuvi ne bata diya sabse accha aur deserving Fast bowler kaun hai India ka' and then he proceed to troll Jassi bhaiya for no reason at all and they both are literally friends and share a close bond. They always support each other. Please don't troll either one of them🙏
