Chapter-2

Olivia

I texted Ben that I was ready for our date. I had to meet Jeremy at 7 at the grill and Ben at 8. Jeremy and I had been best friends since kindergarten. He was handsome in middle school and still is but the only thing is that his features are sharper. Black dark eyes, a sharp jawline that could cut lemons, black curly hair, a flawless body, tattoos, and a V-shaped body muscle that made the girls swoon over him I wasn't one of them. I was not too fond of that. Whenever Jeremy was absent, his fangirls would approach me and ask about him, which was irritating. Nonetheless, I admired his personality and charm, which illuminated the entire room. answered in riddles. I never understood what he liked about me like he was the most popular boy in school which was hanging out with a nerd like me. Whatever the reason was I was always grateful to him he had made my work easier, to be honest. After getting ready I went to meet Jeremy. He was wearing his usual grey sweatpants and an oversized hoodie, carrying a cup of coffee in one hand and his phone in the other. When he saw me approaching the table, he put his phone down and greeted me sincerely, 'You look nice.' I replied, 'I always do, thank you anyway.' We had a lot of catching up to do honestly I went to Singapore for a week so he must have been bored while I was gone. 'So tell me what you see in Singapore and show me the pics too' he was so excited. 'hm I went to Marina Bay Sands, Singapore's flyer, Sentosa Island, they were all so beautiful and the food was so good. Overall I loved the trip and would recommend 'What did you do while I was gone?'

'I was bored as fuck, to be honest. Those were some of the shittiest days of my life' his voice harsh, sending goosebumps down my body

I let out a laugh 'You are exaggerating. Anyway, I did miss you. Next time you are coming with me whether you like it or not.

'fine' he let out a tired sigh.

'So why are you so dressed up?' suspicion in his voice

'I have a date at 8 today'.

'Who is he?' he asks worry in his tone

'someone I met on a dating app, I was bored while I waited for my food'

'I see' he replies

'Well I got to go I will tell you about the date tomorrow'

'cya'.

I rushed out of the door before he could reply, shit I am late.

I don't know how but I am on time, he is already there. He looks cute, hot actually. A suit that suits his body perfectly, brown curly hair, hazel eyes, broad shoulders. To be honest, he gives golden retriever vibes, but let's hope that for personality too. he does look cute and is in my league

When he sees me he gets out of his chair comes close and pulls the chair for me. That's sweet. I mumble him a thank you and sit.

We talked when our food came and went and started sharing our interests and future planning. He was continuously blabbering about his basketball games like how he became the team captain. Then I started sharing about my books and he seemed pretty much interested in that and then I got to know that he's also a reader (much my type). Then we just started sharing our tbr, the current reads and I was pretty surprised. His tropes taste is the same as mine. Honestly saying, this date was going perfectly. It's not a normal meeting. We became good friends. But listening to our future goals maybe coming into a relationship is not a good option for now. It's ok I'll wait. After asking random questions like

"Tell me, what is your absolute favorite color?"

"Black, without a doubt."

"No, I mean your all-time favorite food. What is it?"

"Chicken nuggets, hands down."

"And your birthday? When is it?"

"It's November 26th, and I expect you to remember that."

'hmm'

Afterward, he paid for my ride and dropped me off at my house. Exhausted, I changed clothes and went straight to bed.
