Babe chuckled and placed a reassuring hand on Alan's shoulder.

"Calm down, Lung, you're spiralling"

"I know!....God I wish Jeff was here, his scent is so soothing"

"Shit...when did it happen?"

Alan turned to look at the racer, "When did what happen?"

"You...getting whipped"

Alan wrinkled up his nose and shook Babe's hand off of his shoulder, "You don't get it, you've never been in love"

Babe tutted, "Yeah, thankfully!"

The older man sighed, "Why are you so averse to love huh? Can't you see how happy Jeff and I are?"

"Yeah I do, and I'm happy for you, really, if that's what you want, Lung, then great. But one guy? Forever? I mean are you really happy just having sex with Jeff for the rest of your life?"

Alan smiled, "Most definitely...god, he's so sexy. When he does this thing with.."

Babe waved his hand about frantically, "Woah, okay thanks Lung, that's enough of that"

The Alpha was laughing now, pleased that he had managed to irk his friend a little. "You know, you might just meet someone when you least expect it and bam, you're done for, like me"

Alan shook his head and smiled, hoping that he was right and that one day, Babe would be as happy as he was. Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket he reached down and pulled it out quickly.

"Oh god, they're here. Shit, okay nobody panic, stay calm"

"I think you ought to take your own advice there, Lung"

Alan was nervous, extremely nervous. When he'd first met Charlie the circumstances had not been ideal, and even though he hadn't really cared that he was almost naked, he thought that Jeff's brother might. And now that they had mated, he was panicking.

He rubbed his sweaty palms down his jeans, desperate to dry them. Charlie was the only family Jeff had, so Alan needed to make a good impression. He would do whatever it took to gain Charlie's approval, he just didn't know what that would be.

Alan gulped when he saw Jeff and his brother appear via the kitchen door, chatting as they walked into the garden. It was a beautiful summer's day and Jeff had dressed accordingly. He had on a white oversized t-shirt that Alan thought looked very familiar and a pair of baggy light blue denim jeans with rips on the upper leg. Alan could see his thigh through the tear, teasing him as he walked closer.

"Is that Jeff's brother?" Babe's voice drew Alan's attention away from his boyfriend's leg.

"Yeah, why, do you know him?"

"No...not yet"

Alan snapped his neck to the left to look at Babe, "No, no way. Do not fuck with Charlie. If you mess this up for me I will kill you"

Babe smirked, raising his hands in a gesture of surrender.

"Okay, okay...he's cute though"

The champion racer shuffled away, laughing as he headed over to see North and Sonic who were manning the drinks.
