Slight disclaimer: I wrote 2/3 of this in the week and the rest today, but I was out last night on the vodka so I'm feeling less than stella. So basically hoping this isn't a pile of shit lol

A blush of heat suddenly crept up Jeff's face as the reality of his behaviour in the locker room hit him. How had he been so forward? The vision had given him confidence, that was for sure. It was only a few days ago that he'd experienced his first kiss and now he'd thrown himself at the Alpha. Twice! When did things change? When had he changed? Jeff looked out over the clear, blue ocean, watching as the waves crashed against the shoreline. The sea was its own master, answering to no one, forging its own path and devouring anything that might dare to get in its way. Could Jeff be like that?

"You like the food, Kid?"

Jeff turned to look at the Alpha sitting next to him on the soft, golden sand.

"Hmm, it's great. What restaurant's it from?"

Alan looked sheepish, "Oh, I made it actually"

"What? All of it?" Jeff looked around at the dozen different dishes spread out across the picnic blanket. After they'd showered, the Alpha ran back to his car, returning with a cool box full of food and drink in one hand, and the dark green blanket in the other.

"Mmm, I like to cook"

"What time did you get up this morning? There's a lot of food here Lung"

"Around five" Alan answered as he placed a rice ball in Jeff's bowl.

Jeff looked down at the rice, "Five? Why did you do that? We could have just bought food whilst we were here"

"For you" the Alpha returned with a smile.

Jeff felt shy. The Alpha seemed to like him. Was it really that simple? What if the visions were wrong? It hadn't happened before but there was always a first time for everything. Doubt after doubt started to work its way into Jeff's mind, pulling at the happy moments that he'd experienced that day. Jeff swept his eyes across Alan's face, watching him as he ate. He seemed so relaxed, so content, so genuine. Jeff could trust him, he was almost sure. But then he'd never really trusted anyone except his brother, so extending that privilege to someone was hard.

"Shall we go for a walk when we've finished?" Jeff's gaze fell to the older man's moving lips as he spoke.

"Hmm, that sounds nice," Jeff returned.

He really wanted to take that leap of faith, to push his insecurities to the side. He'd seen enough evidence of what the future held for him, but there was always that one niggling doubt, sometimes more than one if he was being really truthful. He was drawn to this Alpha, there was no contesting that. But what if it was just genetics? The natural order of things, Omega and Alpha? Was that all he was feeling?

"Do you want more, Kid?"

"Excuse me?" Jeff shot back.

"The food, do you want any more food?" the Alpha spluttered, looking slightly confused.

Jeff felt embarrassed. He really needed to focus and stop overthinking things.

"Oh, no, thank you"

Once they'd packed away the dishes and Alan had taken it back to the car, he guided Jeff down the side of the water sports building toward a small path partially obscured by shrub. Sensing Jeff's caution he spoke to reassure the Omega.
