Chapter 4 (part 5)

~~~The next morning~~~

Currently Lan Wangji and Fen Dui were in the dining hall and having their breakfast but Lan Wangji was very silent and in a daze (which is very unlikely for him), poking his plate and constantly thinking of, that if the dragon be his spirit animal? But he cultivates spiritual energy and the beautiful dragon is abundant in resentfull energy, can it be possible?

When Fen Dui noticed his silence, she asked him,"Wangji, what happened? Is the food not to your liking? Or do u need more spice?" Lan Wangji snapped out of his thoughts hearing Fen Dui, immediately grinned and waved his hands,"No, no Fen Ayi, it's good, it's just, i think the beautiful Dragon is my fated spirit animal, is it possible Fen Ayi? But if it is true, how can I bond with him, when our energies are different?". Fen Dui smiled, expecting this from Wangji, and motioned him with his hand to eat quickly,"First finish your meal, we will talk after that".  Satisfied with this, the breakfast was as usual again filled with Lan Wangji telling about his loud and boisterous adventures, the pranks he had done on other, their funny, and irritated faces, his pranks he wants to do on his bucket list, the remaining people on who he wanted to prank, and many more.

After breakfast, they both went to the backyard, and sat on a bench. Fen Dui said,"Wangji, it's true that you and that coldie (Fen Dui calls him this) *Lan Wangji laughed* are fated spirit pair(when the master and the spirit animal are both fated to each other, they r known as fated spirit pair), but as u can see he is made up of abundant but pure resentfull energy, while u cultivate spiritual energy. In order to form a spirit bond, the master and the spirit animal need to have abundancy of the same energy channels inside them. But since ur type of cases r very rare, u not only need to learn but also master demonic cultivation. It will be very hard, it won't be easy. There are cases of slipping into extreme madness, corruption of mind, body, even shattering of soul. If not cultivated properly, either leads to suicide of the cultivator or the the resentfull energy gets out of control and consume it's own master, leaving no traces of body and soul. Resentful energy is very sensitive and that's why during the initial practices of cultivating, it will slowly start to tamper with your thoughts first, then it will slowly start corrupting your inner thoughts, it will make you difficult to take decisions. Resentful energy is different from spiritual energy, while a cultivar can cultivate spiritual energy by a golden core, resentful energy chooses its own master, with different types of obstacles to test the cultivator as, if they r even worthy of controlling them, if u pass, they will be your friend, and will listen to u. A person even without a resentful energy core can cultivate it too, provided if they cultivate it carefully. Anyways, so after the inner thoughts, it will be your relations, it will create illusions of your loved ones, not only in your conscious state but also in your unconscious and subconscious state, there will be voices of your loved ones talking to u but u can't answer them back,they would be mocking u, insulting u, u may even see your worst nightmares, sometimes whispers of some unknown people too. (However, if befriended with the resentful energy, it can even show u events of past, broken memories, incidents, which can be used as evidence if needed).What type of illusions, nobody knows. There are many who left the thought of cultivating further, just after this, bcs they go mad. With passing of each test, the next stage becomes more difficult and that's why proper guidance by a skilled teacher is very necessary. The cultivator needs to be very positive, patient and preserved in his/her thoughts. If the resentful energy catches any sign of even a slight whip of  fear, discomfort, negativity in your thoughts, it can lead to your doom. It will monitor u 24/7, if it gets to sense that your body, mind and thoughts are reacting to their actions, it will pounce u. Many cultivators only know immortality through spiritual energy but there r immortals too who gained immortality through resentful energy. So Wangji, I am asking u, with all these risks, will u still master to cultivate resentful energy? Since Coldie is your fated spirit animal, he will help u in controlling, and restrict any negative thoughts which may tamper  your cultivation. He will feel everything u will feel and u both will share every feeling, let it be good or bad. And based on this, he will channelise his bond energy to help u, to send confirmation that he can feel, what u feel. And bcs of this u can cultivate very fast, alongside also forming the bond thread between u both. Coldie has suffered a long time from loneliness, which has led to him becoming reserved, isolated, cold, aloof. He wasn't always like this, I still remembered the first time I held him in my arms, he was soo small, very bright, bubbly, cute, extroverted and outgoing dragon cub. I had trained him. I have seen him being left out from other animal groups because all the animals were afraid, seeing a dragon cub for the first time, and then eventually with time getting friends with Coldie. I still remember him holding me tightly and crying for the first time and me comforting him to sleep bcs nobody played with him, and after some days smiling so bright when they welcomed him. Running around, smiling, laughing, chasing around, playing. I had seen him getting sad bcs nobody choose him as their spiritual animal. And then one day one immortal came and choose him as his spirit animal, he was soo happy. I thought, now he will have a happy life too. But it wasn't the case, oh, how wrong I was!! That immortal only wanted the dragon for his own selfish needs, for his thorns, scales, tears and blood, to control resentful energy and use it to rule over the cultivation world. That immortal uses to beat him, for his tears, he used many torturous methods to scrap his scales and blood and many more gruesome things, he left him starving. He was very small back then and had just gained his powers, not being able to cultivate due to which he eventually became very week. The immortal thought now he is of no use and beat him last time before throwing him outside of that forest. When I heard of this, I was very angry and gave that immortal a very painful death and destroyed his soul never to be reborn again or enter the cycle of reincarnation. (That immortal had just reached immortality, so he still had the mortal body cultivation which is how/why Fen Dui could kill him). After that incident, he became afraid of humans, he even attacked me when I first went near him, eventually his fear transformed to hate, but I was a special case. He trained himself to his fullest, to be the strongest, pushing out every limit of his powers, training, cultivating, practicing, till he even broke through his immortality reaching the master divine level of resentfulity. Yet, he always remained kind and helpful, he would help the animals if they got lost in the forest. He would bring the animals any fruit they wanted to eat and in many more ways. He despised every human, cultivator or not. He has suffered a lot, he didn't talk to me anymore, his eyes lost the sunny warmth, he became cold, aloof, indifferent. So I was very happy when I saw the fond look on his face after so many years."
