Chapter 20 - The Finale

Hello! I know I have taken a longggggg break but finally, here it is :D

Basically I was co-writing this with my friend, but we could hardly find time and we kept on procrastinating, so I finally finished it

[To Faith: we both suck at writing together and you can't say I'm wrong]

This is either gonna be the last chapter, but there's probably gonna be one more chapter or the prologue

Looking back, I have absolutely ZERO idea why I named it Alternate Miracle bc it's honestly so cringey but I can't change it now

I am very very excited to finally put this out there and I ACTUALLY GOT 1K READS SO THANK YOU SO SO MUCH :)

Since this is the finale, I was absolutely blanked on writing Lloyd's bit but I have finally pushed through so enjoy!

⚠️SWEARING, T0RTUR£ + G0RE⚠️

—-Jay—-

Jay slowly scanned the shop for a way out whilst holding the door shut with all his might.  He grabbed a broken shelf to barricade the door and searched for any weapons in close proximity.

The wood would not hold for long so he had to move fast. He frantically tipped up tables, always keeping an eye on the fragile door.

Alas, found nothing useful. The barricade started to crack and splinter.

In a state of desperation and panic, he furiously fumbled with his communicator, pacing and waving it around, trying to get any signal at all.
The bar clicked up one, and it finally connected. He immediately contacted the other Ninjas.

“Guys! Guys can you hear me?!” he begged

“Yes dumbass” Kai said, breathing heavily. His voice was crackly and cutting out at random points.  “Although we might not be able to help right now”

Cole spoke in the background “Kai be nice”

“I need assistance from anyone” He glanced at the door. “Like- now.”

“Like I said, we can't help you right now. Have you tried calling the others?” he panted, smacking a zombie over the head with a stop sign.

Giving up on help, he turned towards the door again. 10 seconds max.

—Nya—-

The infected continued to charge towards her. She was struggling with all her might to no prevail. 10 seconds max. Was this the end?

—-Kai & Cole—-
Cracks shot up the stone wall. Horrible scraping noises pierced through the city.
10 seconds max.

(No POV)

Jay's voice cut through into their ears. “Guys guys guys I'm actually going to fucking die here and I'm sorry we couldn't save Lloyd and I know I haven't got long so I just wanted to say…”

“It was an honour to be your brother.”

They all closed their eyes, waiting for something to happen.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

“Holy fuck” whispered Kai, he opened his eyes, staring at his hands in awe.

“So this is what death feels like”

“No dumbass” smiled Cole. He looked through a crack in the wall. Nothing was there. “WE ARE ACTUALLY STILL ALIVE!” He pulled Kai in for a tight hug, and after a couple moments of reality, Kai did the same.
