Chapter 11- Family

Bad Secrets is one thing that is not to be hidden because eventually it will come out sooner or later it will just come back and bite you in the butt.

I ring the door bell not once not twice but trice. I wonder where they are. As you go to ring the bell again someone opens the door.

"Hello" a voice behind the door says "Hello " I reply back "Gabriela? Is that you?"

"The one and only" I reply back "SISTERRRR OMG IT'S BEEN AGES!!!!" My now 30 year old brother, Matthew says opens the door for me. He is darker in complexion than me and has lighter hair than mines. We both got the same eye colour from our mom, grey.

After we embrace I'm invited inside bringing along my suitcases. "So Gabi what brings you here." My brother says, "So I can't just visit my dear family now." He gives me an eye. "Okay okay I missed you guys. I haven't seen y'all in like 10 years." I say honestly

"True, we miss you too we wondered when you will come back, the calls are nice but finally seeing you in person is better" We embrace each other again.

"Talking about dad where is he?" I say as we walk into the kitchen "Oh he went for a walk, should be back in the next 5 minutes. You could surprise him." Matthew answers

I agree excitedly and hide behind the counter hiding, waiting, for my dad to come home to surprise him. Just as Matthew said 5 minutes later my dad walked in. "Dad I have a surprise for you." My brother said leading him into the kitchen I jump out from behind the counter "SUPRISE"

"Fille I missed you so much how have you been," my dad says while showering me with love. "Salut papa I've been alright I missed you too."

After our greetings of hugs and kisses. We three settle on the sofa in the living room. Sharing time we haven't shared in a long time. My brother told me he got a job as a pilot I'm so proud of him he is the best brother ever and I'm grateful for him. I share my stories since I have been away, How I'm still trying to build my fashion company. "How is your job, been working there for almost a year." Matthew asks "Yep next 6 months will make it a year." I reply back. "The boss giving you trouble?" It's not the boss but with all due respect his bratty wife. I honestly love this job but yes he can make it hard with his attitude, but his wife that I met only twice is already hating me. "No he is fine a bit bossy though."

I am now in my bedroom packing away after a long chat. My room is still how I remember it greyish pink painted walls with grey furniture. After spreading a white and blue stripped sheet with matching pillow cases on my bed. And packing away my clothes and items I need for my two weeks, I grab my phone and call Crystal and tell her I had safe travels. I missed this but now I'm back. I'm back to my childhood home.

"GABI DINNERS READY!!" my brother shouts "COMING!" I shout back to my brother who was cooking with my dad in the kitchen. As I enter the kitchen I was hit with the lovely aroma of baked potatoes with BBQ chicken and few sauces. "Yummy" I say.

We made your favorite food for your visit. And you favorite dessert that we can eat while we watch a movie.

"merci papa, frére I love it" I say. We eat in a comfortable silence that only last for a few minutes. "How's your love life baby sis" my brother asks breaking the silence I knew this question was yet to come I was praying it wouldn't have, "boring" I reply back "Still single I see" Straight up like that. "How's yours oh right your still single" I say with some stank "Yes yes I am" after a quick minute we burst out laughing.

"He is right though", my father comments "I know dad but those "fish" in the sea are just not for me right now." I answer.

After dinner I was the dishes and head to bed. I lie on my bed smiling I finally visited them and I love it I hope the next 2 weeks will be the best and I will make the most of it being with them, my family my only family.

Deciding to brouse through tik tok before I go to sleep I received a message.

"Good afternoon Ms. André hoped you reached Los Angeles safely."

"Good afternoon Sir I did thank you. "

"Did you get a hotel?"

"Oh no! I'm staying with my family, my childhood home."

"Okay good to know."

"Thank you sir again for letting me get a little vac and visit my family."

"It's no problem at all hope you enjoy."

"I will good night sir. "

"Goodnight Ms André. "

With that I turn into bed and fell asleep.

Bonjour Angels finally finished chapter 11 after so long hoped you guys enjoyed this chapter.
