Hello everyone and thank you for starting this journey with me today...first things first, let's get some things out of the way:
1) This fanfiction is going to be a full reboot of the entire The Vampire Diaries universe. I might use some story arcs as a guideline here and there, but the plot progression is fully my own.
2) Adding onto this, while they might share a few key personality traits with their television counterparts, these versions of the characters you all know and love (or hate) are going to be a little different.
3) This is a bit of a side point, but this is my first time writing for this fandom, and my first time writing in over a year, so please be patient with me. I'll try to update as often as I can, and I hope you all enjoy the story I'm dying to share with you all.

This story will contain some dark themes. Expect some drug and alcohol use, death/extreme violence, and the occasional fade to black sex scene. While not explicit, there will also be mentions of depression, suicidal idealization, and self-harm. I wanted to go a bit darker than the actual tv show, but never in a way that felt like shock for shock value's sake.
