Milo and Bethany experience a sold out Emirates stadium with Beth and Viv as they make their Arsenal debuts as Mascots.

Today was a busy day for everyone in the Meadema household, especially for the younger two.

Milo and Bethany were going to make their Arsenal debut, as mascots for Beth and Viv, they were both excited to go. Both children were causing utter chaos in the hours before they had to go.

"Come on Milo...Bethany." Viv sighed as she tried to reign both the toddlers in.

"Minute, Mama!" Milo called back and continued to play with his car.

"Now please." Viv raised her eyebrow, Milo instantly knew that the raised eyebrow meant no more protesting.

Milo toddled over, car in hand. "Wwwroom." He growled lowly, pretending his car was driving in the air.

Viv swiftly laid Milo down and quickly changed his nappy before starting to get him dressed into his Arsenal kit.

Milo was making it hard work for Viv to dress him, more interested in playing with his car than actually getting dressed. Beth was having no better luck with Bethany, who insisted on sitting up every couple of seconds to be nosey.

"Come on, mini me. You can play as soon as we're done." Beth pouts, earning a frown from Bethany and a grumble of frustration at having been made to lay down to change.

A lot of tickling and silliness to encourage the toddlers later they were dressed.

"Snack!" Milo shouts going to the baby gate by the kitchen door.

"You just had lunch." Beth laughs.

"Snack!!" Milo says with a pout and puppy dog eyes as he plonks himself down, fully preparing himself to have a tantrum if he needed to.

"Fine ok, ok... grumpy bum." Beth sighs. "You can have some raisins." Milo instantly smiled.

"Snack Mammy. Now?" Milo chews on his fingers in anticipation. Bethany, who was curious goes and sits next to Milo. She copies his actions.

"Well these two are definitely keeping you two on your toes." Mila smirked as the three of them watched on as Milo and Bethany teamed up to get what they wanted.

Beth went off to get the two toddlers their raisins and came back with them, staying nearby while they both ate their packet of raisins.

Both toddlers happy to have gotten their way for the umpteenth time that morning.

An hour later Mila, Beth, Viv and both little mascots were ready and playing about in the little area where the mascots were to meet. Milo and Bethany play with a little sponge ball, occasionally falling out over who had the ball.

"Are you all ready?" A person from the mascot management team asked as all the mascots were paired to the players, ready to go out.

"Ready." Viv and Beth say in unison as each of them pulled Bethany and Milo close to them ready to go.

There was an obvious shift in atmosphere, Milo and Bethany were subdued opposed to their previous excitement they had experienced earlier that day.

Beth holds, Milo close as he cuddles into her, somewhat nervous.

Bethany cuddled into Viv, hiding her face each time anyone from the team acknowledges her presence before they go out, through the tunnel.

Beth tries her hardest to make Milo smile but his 'deer in the headlights' expression goes unchanged.

Viv kisses Bethany's head and gently tells her "it's ok. Oma's got you."

Regardless of the toddlers current reaction, it was a special moment for Beth and Viv. Neither of the children had been put into the limelight much and both of them were proud to show them off, to the sold out stadium of fans and supporters.

The players names were announced around the stadium and they began to walk out, each with their respective Mascots. Beth and Viv felt the little hands tighten round their necks as the little toddlers took in the sight of the stadium filled to the brim with people.

"Mammy..." Milo mummers and hides his face after looking all around and seeing people in every single direction he looked. Milo wasn't sure he liked it at all. He wouldn't let his Mammy go for anything.

Bethany was just as shy, though a little more willing to participate. Instead the little girl nervously held her hand to her mouth and walked beside Viv holding tightly onto her hand. She held onto Viv's leg tightly when they stopped in the line.

"We need to high five the other team. Can you do that love?" Viv asked Bethany.

Bethany looked up at Viv in adoration but was too nervous to reply. Instead she sucked on her pointer finger and walked alongside Viv.

The players on the opposite team offered high fives which went shyly looked at by Bethany. Though they did give her a little tap of appreciation anyway.

Beth keeps Milo firmly on her hip sensing his want to stay up and close with her. The little boy silently takes in his surroundings, he felt ok as long as his Mammy let him stay where he was.

Once the mascot part, of the start of the game had been done Mila took the pair and sat with them in the stands, both happily watched as Beth and Viv played. Even taking a cheeky nap during half time, both snuggled into Mila.

Mila felt proud of the two toddlers, it was a lot to understand and embrace for any child, she couldn't believe how well the two toddlers had done. Mila was very proud too, and continued to be as some people, who had recognised her gave her compliments on how good the children had been.

After the game had finished Beth and Viv came over to Mila, Bethany and Milo. The toddlers were now awake and wanted to be up and playing again.

Beth and Viv reached out over the barriers, for the toddlers, as the two toddlers happily went with them. Mila watched on from a distance, she was an emotional mess. She was both proud of her daughter and her little brother, as well as being happy that they'd both gotten to experience being a mascot at such a young age... not only that though. They had been mascots for Arsenal, the club their Mums, Oma and Nanny played in.

It really was a happy, proud moment. Mila couldn't help herself as she pictured the 4 of them doing the walk around on the pitch, her heart had never felt fuller.

Neither had Beth and Viv's....

A/n- I don't want to address the elephant in the room, I'm very sad about it and I wish it weren't true
