On Friday night, Michael sat on the bed in the hidden room on the fourth level of his house, holding his head with his black Dingo by his side. I need him. I want him now. Pete said I would have him by Tuesday. Tuesday has come and gone. I know I told them to take their time, but damn. Michael heard the door open. He lifted his head. "Who dares come up here?"
The fourth-floor house girl said, "Sir, I beg your forgiveness, but we have come to tidy the room as you instructed. It's Friday night, sir, and sir..."
"Yes."
Peter popped his head into the room.
"What do you want?" Michael snapped at Peter.
"Come out with us."
"I'm in no mood."
"Oh, come on, mate, come out with us; let's have a pint or two," Peter said.
Michael looked his oldest and dearest friend in the eyes. How could I say no to you? Benny and Joe, maybe, but never you. "Alright, Pete, give me a moment to get ready."
"Dress down, Michael," Peter said.
Michael's eyebrows went up on their own as he stared at Peter.
Peter gave Michael a stern look. "I mean it, Michael, dress down."
Michael went to his closet and wore the outfits he didn't normally wear. Michael went with a plaid shirt, a leather jacket, and jeans. When Michael was fully dressed, he came out to a waiting Peter. "How do I look?"
"Perfect for where we are going."
"Great because I feel disgusting, so wherever we are going, it better be worth it."
"That I leave to you, mate," Peter said. Peter turned to the house girl and said, "Make sure you give this place a once-over with all hope the guest will be arriving tonight."
Michael whistled, and his dingo followed them out of the house.
Peter went to where Michael's Lexus LFA lay in wait. "Don't even try to get in that, Mate; it won't work. We have been watching this bloke for a while, and only classics can make this one turn his head. None of us have a classic, but you still do, right?"
Michael's eyes lit up. He went over to his garage and opened it. "Yeah, it's one of my favourite cars, Pete. 1967 Shelby GT500 it's my baby, a gift from my father. I named him Beast, I don't take this baby out but once a month on my solo trips."
"Trust me, Mikey, take this one."
Michael shook his head."I don't think you heard me, I hardly ever take this out, it's a classic."
"I know that's what makes this a perfect occasion. Is it still equipped With your prowling needs ?" Peter asked.
"It is," Michael said.
"Good, but if you do this right, you may not even need it."
Michael turned to Peter. "Where are Benny and Joe?"
Peter got into Beast with a smile on his face."They'll meet us there, don't worry. Tonight will be perfect, just be your charming self and let us handle the rest. Let's go."
Michael drove in silence, listening to the directions Peter gave him. When They arrived, Michael stared at Peter, "What the fuck is, this isn't our usual place. I told you to bring him to me."
"He doesn't run in our circles, your Matthew. You failed to tell us that he's not like Sandra, He's not some wealthy daughter from a foreign country that you can buy off or some groupie bitch that plays follow the money. This one is different and might be even easier."
