Lilac entered their home. It was a very busy day at her work, well better than before when she had to be a civil police to caught a gang leader who swears to defy any normality this government brings upon their people and determined to change the whole system so it can bend for her needs.
It was not easy to catch her when she always wears a mask, the only lead they got was which university she may have been studying at since she comes from a very well known rich family who are actually a supporter of this government in her own words.
In the end though they didn't even need to catch her as she killed herself very dramatically as soon as her lover was dead. Lilac shakes her head, well that she would normally consider to be an easy job if she wasn't too busy keeping all this a secret from her own lover back then, that was the tricky and hard part of all this.
She went to the kitchen and tried to look for any type of food that her lover may have prepared for her. She stared at the polished counter tops of the kitchen " Nothing?" she asked to herself calmly, this wasn't normal, even in her days of sickness Mary would go to lengths to prepare her girlfriend's meals.
Ever since she confessed to Lilac and they started dating, all Lilac could hear was which recipes are delicious, what Mary can make for Lilac to make her happy and full, how Mary loves seeing Lilac's happy face while she is eating or how it makes her heart warmer that Lilac would pretend to like what she cooked even though when it's not exactly what she would like to eat.
" Maybe there is an emergency and she had to go to her parent's house" Lilac tried to calm herself down. But wouldn't she text Lilac about it? Maybe it is really an emergency, maybe Lilac should be the one to call. Lilac shakes her head, no it's ok, it will be ok, Mary would really reach out, not once in their relationship Lilac had to be the one to reach out and it would look very weird if she does so suddenly right now.
She made her way to their living room and sat down on their overly colorful couch that Mary had bought when they first moved in together. She lightly touches it, the warm feeling of it reminded her of the day that Mary had first approached her.
I sighed out of boredom, for the last twenty minutes I have been eating the lunch that I brought from home on the roof of the university to escape from my 'friends'. They didn't know obviously but I am ten years older than them and they usually make my head hurt so much so that I want to cry out of frustration because of them.
I wish this civil police torture would end soon and I can go back to solving more interesting cases than catching a spoiled brat who decided to be a gang leader. She could have stayed as herself and be successful on whatever she wanted to do in this lifetime, no one in this country could do anything to her with her high status but no she had to go out of her way to make a move gather a gang and even disturb the peace so much so that the special investigation teams were alerted.
A sudden move in front of me disturbed my thought process. How could someone get so close to me without me noticing them? I looked up to see a cute face with freckles, green eyes and long black hair.
My eyes moved down to the girl's body, a little chubby with cute pink overalls and a black tank top " Hey!" she said with red cheeks " Hey?" she looked away from me " Can we talk?" she asked. I thought about it for a second, should I say yes or a hard no?
I should say no, but what if she is the gang leader? Then I would be missing out on a big lead about the case I am here for and might have to befriend her all over again in the case of any suspicion " Sure" I said and without a warning she sat down beside me, a little too close for my liking.
" Uhmm I like you" I was shocked by the words she blurted out suddenly " You, like want to be friends with me?" I asked, she shakes her head. I raised my eyebrows " You like me like in a romantic way?" she nodded immediately.
