Jack just had a long, tiring game. Worst part? He didn't score. No, scratch that. The worst part? His team lost to the Sharks. You heard me right. The San Jose Sharks.
Upon walking into the apartment, he spotted Carla on the couch all wrapped up in a blanket with a show on the end credits on the TV. When Jack looked closer, he noticed tears streaming down Carla's face, which he assumed were caused by the show.
With a heavy sigh he sat next to her. Carla immediately fell into Jacks chest with tears still falling rapidly from her eyes. Without a word, Jack softly brushed his hand through her hair. After a few minutes he decided to speak.
"What's wrong, my lovely?" Jack whispered softly. Carla hiccuped before looking up with an answer.
She sniffled before speaking. "JJ died, Jacky." He sighed as he realized nothing had happened to her and his suspicions were correct.
"JJ Maybank as in the TV show character?" As soon as the words left his mouth, Jack started to regret it.
Carla's hand moved up and smacked his head. "He was my favourite character!" She defended and smacked him again.
"OKAY! Ow! Stop hitting me!" Luke walked into the apartment using the spare key just as Jack said that.
"Outer Banks?" Luke said after a minute. Carla nodded. "Good. Because that's what i came over for." He threw Jack off of his girlfriend and curled into Carla's arms. "They killed JJ, Carla."
Jack scoffed. "What the hell man!"
"Shush! He's a child!" Carla scolded her boyfriend as she soothed Luke who was just as upset as Carla was. Jack rolled his eyes.
Luke sniffled in his honorary big sister's arms as she smoothed his hair. Both of them have found comfort in Outer Banks since it was first released and would always FaceTime to watch it, much to Jack's dismay whenever he was trying to cuddle Carla.
Jack huffed like a baby and pouted. But he took a picture of them. As much as he hated how close his little brother had grown to be with his girlfriend, he loved it more. He was happy Luke felt safe with his new "sister" and that he could turn to her for anything.
"I miss him too, Lukey." Carla mumbled as Luke finally calmed down. JJ was both their comfort character and now he was gone, which hurt them both.
"John B never got to say goodbye to his brother. Pope never got to tell JJ he loved him. Sarah gained a brother when she lost hers, but just as she gained the brother she lost she lost the brother she gained. JJ wished he would spend the rest of his life with Kiara and he did. Heyward lost a son. JJ's non biological father would never kill him no matter how much he claimed to hate him, but his biological father killed him without a second thought. JJ will never meet his godchild who he saved. Rafe had to bury JJ because no one else could do it. JJ was buried in Morocco even though his biggest fear was being alone." Luke rambled on while sniffling. Carla smoothed his hair again while listening. Jack's eyes were soft as he listened to his little brother talk about the show he never really understood.
After a bit, Luke and Carla both fell asleep after rambling on about JJ. Carla and Jack's dog, Dodger, jumped on top of the two and fell asleep. Jack smiled when he saw them all asleep. He kissed Carla's forehead and ruffled Luke's hair gently so he wouldn't wake up before walking to the kitchen.

uh, so..it's been a while, huh?
i make no promises that i'm not about to disappear for another three months, but maybe this will be a start. if you can't tell i'm very mad at obx right now. i spent two hours crying last night after jj died. this dude saved my life somehow in ways i'll never understand and now he's dead, so.. yeah.
anyways, missed you guys! and don't be mad if you read this and got spoiled because i put a very large spoiler warning at the beginning so it isn't my fault.
