Serenity then gasped in shock as they noticed her mother floating in the shadows.

"Mom?" Serenity asked in shock.

"I consider myself a reasonable mermaid. I set certain rules, and I expect those rules to be obeyed." Queen Serenity told her daughter.

"But Mom, I..." Princess Serenity tried to explain before Queen Serenity interupted her.

"Is it true you rescued a human from drowning?" Queen Serenity asked.

"I had to..." Princess Serenity tried to explain before Queen Serenity interupted her once more.

"Contact between the human world and Ocean Moon Palace is strictly forbidden Serenity you know that! Everyone knows that." Queen Serenity told her daughter as she began to raise her voice.

"He would have died." Princess Serenity told her mother.

"One less human to worry about."Queen Serenity raised her voice.

"You don't even know him." Serenity told  Queen Serenity.

"Know him? I don't have to know him! They're all the same. Spineless, savage, harpooning fish-eaters incapable of any feeling..." Queen Serenity told her daughter.

"Mother, I love him!" Serenity yelled at her mother and then gasped.
