How you wanna report accounts that don't update when you want them too? ☠️☠️ Some people amuse me greatly. This is why so many authors leave this damn app and take their books with them, cause some of y'all crazy.
__________As the car neared the Swan's house, the Chief of police and his niece were deep in conversation while Willow's sleeping peacefully in her carseat.
"You're telling me that Bella hasn't come to visit you in years?" Oaklynn asks her uncle in disbelief, almost sounding as if she was disgusted and she was. The girl hated the small town so much so that a mere week or weekend there was bad? To be honest if Oaklynn had a father like Charlie, she would have stayed with him over a mother like Renee. She wouldn't have cared how much she hated Forks.
Not that she did, she loves the small ass town and the way that it rains so much. She loves the nature and that just about everything she would need is in walking distance- well apart from school but alot of places were in walking distance.
Moving on, Charlie's a considerate man, he's kind and does his best even when it isn't needed. He'll go to hell and back for someone, not just the people he loves as well. He would do it for anyone which is why he's so loved in the small town. He's a sweet soul and always there when you need him.
How can Isabella hate the town so much that she's okay with not at all seeing her dad?
"Yeah," Charlie sighs out with a shrug of his shoulders, pursing his lips. The sight made Oaklynn frown. "But it's fine, I'm used to it." He adds as he gives the teen a soft smile, stopping at a red light.
But Oaklynn can see that he's still hurt about the fact that Isabella stopped with her visits even if he is used to it by now. "Well, you shouldn't be." She scoffs out, annoyed and pissed off at her younger cousin. How could you throw away such a gem?
Did she not know how fucking lucky she is? Did she not know how many people would kill to be in her position? To have a devoted father like Charlie? To have a father that actually cares and tries? Did she not know that she was hurting such a great man? What kind of daughter was she?
God, Oaklynn wished she had a father as amazing as her uncle. But she was glad that she's related to him at all. Without him, she didn't know what she'd do even with the money she had.
Isabella's stupid as hell.
"She should be lucky to have a father like you," Oaklynn adds as she tries and fails to hold back her anger, not noticing the way that Charlie's lips twitched upwards at her words.
He had always felt as if he did something wrong when he knew he didn't, but that didn't stop the thoughts from jamming in his head. Isabella didn't call nor did she answer his- well, only unless she needed something. He had went to visit her alot before but she didn't want to spend any time with him and so he stopped visting. Did it hurt? Yes. Did it break his heart? Yes. But he couldn't force her spend time with him.
No matter how much he wished to spend time with her, he couldn't force her to do it.
He couldn't force his daughter to love him back.
Though he would imagine what it would be like, to have Bella love him back or to atleast care for him just a bit. He would imagine what's it like to have a daughter that loves him, that would appreciate the fact that he would do more than the bare minimum. Charlie has always wanted to be a father, to have a child, to give them the world.
He used to cry himself to sleep, trying to figure what he did wrong for Isabella to dislike him like this.
However he stopped as he and Oaklynn spoke more and more. She had became his daughter, even if she doesn't know it yet. She pulled him from the dark place that he was in without knowing it. She's his niece but to him, she was more. She is the daughter he had always wanted, the child he wished to have.
Because of her, he had gotten back on track. Because of her, he felt more alive, more happy, he felt needed. He felt very appreciated as well.
There isn't a time where she didn't thank the male and for the most random shit, there isn't a time where she hasn't told him how thankful she's to have him in her life.
Meanwhile he was thinking the same about her. He's thankful to have her in his life.
Without her, he would still be chugging beers all weekend and crying himself to sleep, wondering what he did to fail so badly at being a father. Because of her, he has an actual life. He's happy and it's all because of her in his mind.
When she had asked him about living with him, he screamed 'yes' so fast and instantly got embarrassed when the teen had laughed happily at his outburst. He was barely able to contain his excitment on the phone and when they had hung up, he had forgot that he had a car and literally ran to Cora's house, wanting to tell her the great news- oh and that he needs help with her room.
"Well now you have a father like me," he mumbles lowly with a soft smile while he turns a corner after the light turned green, thinking she didn't hear him. But she did.
Oaklynn felt her heart skip a beat, eyes welling up with tears as she looks over at the smiling who had his attention on the road.
Ugh, she hates crying but damn Charlie.
"You really mean that?" She asks almost timidly and the poor male's smile turns sheepish he realizes that he was heard. His cheek grew hot, making the teen in the seat near his snort tearfully. "Yeah, I do mean that." He says softly as he takes one of his hands off the wheel, holding it out to the dark skinned teen near him.
A sniffle came the girl as she held onto his hand instantly, squeezing it gently as she relaxes more into the seat, a warm smile spreading on her lips when he had squeezed her hand back.
"You're stuck with now kid," the male adds. And he meant it, Oaklynn knew that he did, just by the sound of his voice and she also knows that he'd never lie to her neither. She's stuck with him, she's more than okay with that. "Good," she says.
He may be her uncle, but he's also the father she has never had ..... and is the father she just gained.
She was definitely going to randomly call him dad at some point and give him just a mini heart attack.
Just for funsies.
Or maybe not. Can't lose her dad when she just got him.
Isabella is crazy for abandoning the gem of a man but Oaklynn was going to make sure that's she treats Charlie with all the love and respect her derserves.
He's a great father, he just was given the wrong daughter.
