Fear… What is fear?

Fear is one of the common emotions that almost every human being feels. The one who doesn’t feel it is the real achiever.

Fear of failure, fear of being judged, fear of losing something or someone we love—these are the most common types of fears we feel.

“What if we fail?” “What if someone judges us?” These are the biggest non-physical weapons that kill a person's self-confidence.

Fear is everyone's biggest enemy. We fear more in imagination compared to reality. Sometimes, the fear of failure is the only obstacle to success. Constant fear of failure slowly turns into generalized anxiety about…nothing.

But there is only one way to overcome it: to face it. Avoiding fear with distractions is not a permanent solution. When we face it with a mindset of acceptance about the result, whether it be success or failure, it will slowly increase self-confidence and self-esteem.

It is hard to accept failure, but the harder the problem is, the stronger we will become by overcoming it.

Before we deal with the fear that started within ourselves, we need to look around. Mostly, everyone is just like us—no one is stronger than us, no one is less than us.

The moment we realize this simple thing, we have already defeated half of the fear.

Fear of failure can be overcome by constant persistence without thinking about others' opinions and judgments.

But as easy as it is to say, it is much harder to implement. Everything has to start with ourselves if we want to be strong and successful without fear of anyone or anything.

Don’t let fear hold us back from trying in life. When we look back at what we have gone through, after a few years, there shouldn’t be any space for regret for not attempting. Fear is temporary, regret is permanent. The one who hasn’t tasted bitterness can’t appreciate the taste of sweetness. So, don’t fear failure—fear not trying once again.

If we fear, we will stand in the same place without moving forward. Even if we fail, it will always teach us a lesson and create a chance to win again. Being strong doesn’t mean never failing—being strong means never stopping even after failing.

Winners only win once; failures win every time by trying, with a chance to win once again.

Every time we feel like giving up due to the fear of failing, we need to think about why we started and how far we've come. All the efforts we have invested should not go to waste. All the dreams we had should not just remain dreams.

Let’s take an example of J.K. Rowling, the author of the famous Harry Potter series. In the beginning of her career, no one appreciated her or supported her. Some people mocked her, some criticized her work, and some dismissed her work as garbage. But none of these things stopped her from doing what she wanted. None of the judgments or criticisms stopped her from achieving success. She finally became a world-famous author.

She is not someone who had special powers; she is just like us, a normal human being, but she made a big achievement. What took her to that place is what we need to learn—not letting confidence and courage be affected by others. Even if she had thought of stopping once, today we wouldn’t have witnessed her magical world of wizardry.

No one knows what heights we will reach once we succeed… but we will know only when we start climbing the ladder without fear.

All of us have weaknesses, but making them our strength to succeed is what counts. Life doesn’t stop when we fail. Success is not the final destination.
We still need to wake up and work the next day to continue our journey.

Let’s fall, let’s get hurt, but let’s rise again.
We have only one life, one chance, and we are not going to sit back with fear. Let’s move forward and get what we desire.

Believe in yourself and focus on yourself.”
