You blinked for a brief moment. Having to wrap your head around the fact that Farron had appeared out of nowhere. Especially since your initial thoughts when being stuck here had been about finding him. But now that he was right here in front of you... You almost didn't want him to be.

Perhaps being alone actually wasn't so bad, you thought.

"I thought I might find you here..." He gave an awkward laugh, like he was hoping to make the atmosphere more lighthearted. "It's been a while hasn't it?"

"Yeah. Since you left me in that room," you bit back.

He quickly averted his eyes away from your own (e/c) ones. His expression morphing into a more guilty looking one. Raising his hands defensively.

"You know, I didn't mean to do that, (Y/n). It was a mistake..."

Your brows furrowed, turning away from him to look back at the mirror. Not particularly caring for his explanation if all he was planning to do was lie. He made that very clear.

"(Y/n)?" He queried when you hadn't answered.

Yet you still remained quiet. Feeling like this grudge towards Farron had only returned worse when seeing him.

Really, what had he expected? That you could just go back to pretending like nothing here was wrong?

Finally moving away from the threshold of the door, he approached you slowly. Reaching out to place a hand on your shoulder. Bringing you out of your thoughts as you were quick to smack it away.

"What is it about this mirror?" You changed the subject. Deciding that while he was here you may as well ask for answers. "You said not to touch it, so why?"

Farron frowned at you, pulling his hand towards his chest. "Um... Well, it's just..." He paused. Looking around the rest of the room for a moment. "Everything in this manor always has something wrong with it. So it's better to be safe.."

"Right, that makes sense," you sighed.

Deciding that he did have a point. You hadn't thought of being careful when it came to things in the rooms you went to. But with Soleil helping, there wasn't a reason to touch anything lately.

And with that in mind, you weren't sure what you would do without her now. Especially if Farron was right about the things here. It could make things harder for you.

You shook your head and finally stepped away from the mirror. Though, you still held quite a bit of curiosity for it. Along with just this room in general.

Especially with the next thing that had caught your attention was yet another bookcase. Making you wonder if this one would also lead to a secret passage way. You couldn't quite remember the last one you had found.

So, you were hoping if there was one here, it would prove to be useful like the others. Or to at least get you to somewhere else.

With that in mind, you gave a side eye glance to see if Farron was still there. Your lips pulling down into another frown when you saw he was in fact there. Before you marched off to the bookshelf.

"(Y/n)... what are you doing?" He deadpanned. His eyes never leaving your form. "I told you, you shouldn't go touching things."

"Oh, yeah?" You queried, holding a bit of sarcasm. You now just wished he'd get out of here again since he really wasn't needed. "How do you think I'll be able to find anything to help me, Farron?"

The lavender male cringed back at that and crossed his arms. Appearing as though he had more to say. Yet he remained awkwardly silent again. And you were definitely thankful for that.
