The atmosphere in the courtroom was tense, with everyone eagerly awaiting the start of the proceedings. The media had been buzzing with speculation about the case, adding to the anticipation in the room.

The trial court in this country has a format that is a mix of a formal trial and a tabloid talk show, with dramatic opening statements and passionate cross-examinations. The judge, known for his strict demeanour, tried to maintain order amidst the chaos. As the proceedings began, the prosecution presented their case with compelling evidence, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats. The defence, equally prepared, skillfully countered the prosecution's arguments, creating an intense battle of words. It was clear that both sides were determined to win, making the courtroom feel like a battlefield of justice.

In the centre of the courtroom stood a striking statue of Themis, the blindfolded goddess of justice. What made this statue unique was that it was created by Arlon himself, with Liliana serving as his model. It was a symbol of their commitment to seeking justice and truth in the face of adversity. As the trial began, the atmosphere in the courtroom was tense, with everyone eagerly awaiting the proceedings to unfold. The presence of the statue seemed to add an air of solemnity and reminded everyone of the importance of upholding justice. The intricate details of Themis, with her scales and sword, served as a constant reminder that fairness and impartiality were at the heart of this trial.

Sir Charles, the judge presiding over the joint trial, took his seat. He was adorned in a black toga and wore a long wig, adding an air of formality to the proceedings. The courtroom fell into a hushed silence as everyone awaited the start of the trial. The atmosphere in the courtroom was tense, as the weight of the impending verdict hung heavily in the air. The presence of Sir Charles, with his authoritative demeanour, further heightened the gravity of the situation. The participants could feel the collective anticipation, knowing that this trial would be a pivotal moment in upholding justice and determining the fate of those involved.

The counsel, a figure of authority in the courtroom, addressed the assembled parties.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to hear and try three interconnected cases. The first case pertains to the alleged imprisonment of Arlon Florian by his own family, a result of their discrimination against autistic individuals. The second case involves allegations against Arlon's father and brother, accusing them of almost committing unspeakable acts against Liliana Oleander, an incident that caused Arlon to faint upon witnessing it. Lastly, we have the third and newest case, which concerns Arlon's mother's libellous accusations against the Oleander family. In this trial, not only are their cases to be tried, but also we will know all their true natures and the problems that lead to their case."

The council, with an air of solemnity, directed both parties to raise their right hands and place their left hands on the KJV Bible. As the courtroom fell into a hushed silence, the weight of the oath hung heavy in the air. The counsel's words resonated with the gravity of the situation, emphasising the importance of truth and justice in this pivotal moment. The tension grew palpable as each individual took their oath, knowing that their actions and words would be scrutinised under the watchful eyes of the jury and judge. This symbolic act signified the gravity of the proceedings about to unfold.

"Do you both parties," the counsel intoned, "solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"

In unison, the two parties, Arlon's family and the Oleander family, replied, "I do."
