🌻AVALINE🌻
We will be getting married after two weeks. Mom, Summer and Ed wanted it to be after a month at least so they get enough time for shopping and making all the arrangements while Neil wanted it to be within a week.
After a lot of arguments, and almost a third world War later, we decided it to be held after two weeks. These two weeks were hell. I couldn't get a proper sleep or a proper meal. Shopping and arranging everything was tiring. We had to finalize the venue, theme, songs, cake, menu, guest list, and dresses for everyone, and the list was never-ending.
Uff.
I'll be walking down the aisle with Ed, who is also Neil's best man. Summer is my bridesmaid. The venue is a church where Gramps got married to Grandma and Dad to Mom. I wish our marriage to be as successful and beautiful as theirs.
Today is our bachelor party but since we both have limited friends whom we want to celebrate it with, we four will be celebrating it together. We did nothing over the top, we went to one of the Neil's clubs that was reserved for us. We drank to our heart's content. Then we danced like caffeinated kangaroos and sang like dying donkeys. We passed out on the floor so nothing else happened. The next day when we woke up, we all had a throbbing headache and back ache.
We kept it light for next day and mostly slept. I had a spa appointment in the afternoon, and apart from that, I just slept.
Today is the day, of my wedding. The real one. I know my groom, I love him, for God's sake, I live with him. Then why was I feeling this weird thing in my stomach? Mom said they are Wedding jitters and everyone feels them, it's normal.
But it feels different and weird, like butterflies but not the blushy one, the one that can make you throw your guts out yet in a good way.
My gown was ivory with silver intricate designs on it. His suit of matching with mine. As the makeup artists were done showing their skills on my face. It was already time for the ceremony to start.
Ed came to me and kissed my forehead.
"Makeup artists did a good job, for once you are not looking like a monkey."
I hit him on his bicep and wrapped my arms around his torso."You are looking very beautiful Ava, the prettiest bride in this whole world." He said seriously this time.
"Eddy my teddy, promise me you'll find me a sister-in-law soon and settle with her."
"Why Ava my Chava, tired of me staying at your place already."
"No, I just want your nieces and nephews to play with mine." I winked at him and left the room.
Ed was shell-shocked and it took him a good minute to recover.
"Neil is spoiling you rotten."
"So are you, Ed."
Then as the music played, he walked me to the aisle. I didn't look at Neil once. Ed kept my hand in Neil's and then I looked at him. He was looking divine and yummy. We both had tears in our eyes as we recited our vows.
Neil Atkins, will you have Avaline Raine to be your lawful wedded wife? Will you love her, comfort her, keep her in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be faithful to her so long as you both shall live?
"I do."
Avaline Raine, will you have Neil Atkinsto be your lawful wedded husband? Will you love him, comfort him, keep him in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be faithful to him so long as you both shall live?
“I do.”
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you as husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." As soon as the pastor said this, Neil lifted off my veil, kissed my forehead, then my cheeks and finally my lips.
He only stopped when Ed cleared his throat and muttered 'Control Romeo, we have an audience', under his breath.
Then we cut the beautiful and fed it to each other before having the first dance. It was a beautiful, intimate wedding with no media or business partners involved. Just family.
