Only a man can understand the beautiful feeling when the girl you love is loved more than you by your family. We pretend to be jealous but nothing calms our hearts more.

I love this feeling of coming back home with Ava. She was shocked to see our new place. The twin houses are really huge. But it doesn't feel lonely with Ava, Ed  and their non stop banter. Ed goes to his house just to change his clothes, sometimes he wears mine and doesn't leave my house at all.

If my parents are even thinking of being grandparents, we need to find Ed a girlfriend soon.

It's been two days since we moved to our new house. Ava and I are doing well. We mostly are together for the entire day. Same office, same house and even we share the same room. Not that I am complaining, I love being with her.

Right now I am in my office thinking about Ava and not concentrating on my work as I was supposed to. The last two days were a bit busy but now I am officially the CEO of the Atkins empire.

I called my assistant through the intercom.

"Yes, Mr Neil." She loves calling me that to annoy me.

"Mrs Atkins, please close the door behind you."

"Why sir what are your intentions?" She asked with a smirk but did close the door.

"I am hungry, maybe my assistant can help me with some desserts."

"I can surely get you some, though we just had pancakes for breakfast."

"Yeah that's too many calories, maybe we can do some workout, I mean I can have you for dessert."

"Neil we are in the office, don't you have work to do." She pretended to be annoyed but her blush gave it away.

"I'll like to work on you."

"Are you drunk by any chance."

"No, just intoxicated by you."

"You don't have any work but unlike you I have files to finish. Goodbye."

"Ava I am just asking for a kiss. You know some motivation to work."

"Just a peck and then you promise to behave like a good boy."

I nodded like a child and she came towards me. I pulled her on my lap and my hand rested on her delicate waist. Slowly we leaned towards each other and our lips met like two long lost lovers.
Fighting for dominance, our tongues like swords.

Just a peck, she said.

We were interrupted by a knock on the door. I swear someone is getting fired today.
At home it's Ed and the office, my stupid employees, I can't have a peaceful moment with my wife.

She jumped off my lap and fixed her hair that I had messed up. She glared at me and went to open the door.

I wish it was my employee, I would have fired them happily but how do you fire your family.

My entire family, including Ed were standing there and they walked in as if it was their office not mine.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them a little annoyed.

"I missed my friend." Summer said

"Why did we disturbed both of you." That was dad.

"No hanky panky with my sister."you all know who it was.

"Ed what are you doing here, don't you have a business to run? Don't tell you were missing us as well, you practically live at our house."

"You dimwit, no one here was missing you. They are here for Ava. And I can handle my company very well but you instead of working, trying to get handsy with my sister."

"She is my wife."

"Stop it both of you. Who would believe they are billionaires and not some hormonal teenagers." Grandpa scolded.

"We are here to get some lunch together with Ava. If you want you can also join." Mom offered.

Forget what I said at the beginning, I am feeling jealous now. They were supposed to be my family, they met Ava less than a week ago.

Anyways I was hardly getting any work done anyway so I went with them.

In the middle of the lunch, Ava asked for all of ours attention.

"I have to tell you all something. "

"Are you pregnant." Ed blurted.

"Shut up Ed." She shouted.
And I choked on the air.

"Seriously Neil." She gave me a look while passing me the glass of juice.

She continued after I had finally calmed down.

"I always dreamt to be a teacher but the course of life led me here. Now that I have you all to support me, I want to pursue my dream."

"What about my assistant. " I said.

"Don't be selfish Neil." King scolded me.

I pouted.
Not that I don't want her to achieve her dreams but I'll miss here being around. Also, I was a upset that she didn't talked with me before telling everyone. I left the table and went back to my office.

🌻 AVALINE 🌻

Neil was avoiding me. He left the dinner midway and when I went back to the office, he left for some meeting. Now I was at home waiting for him to come back. I don't know why he was so annoyed at me but then Ed told me it might be because I just dropped the bomb on him. Being my husband he might wanted me first talk with him and share my life with him. Mahes sense.

Maybe I was wrong and should have discussed it with him, but it doesn't give him the right to ignore me. I asked the to maid ti prepare the dibber of his choice. Ed thought of giving us some space so he is at his house.

He got back around 10.30. I asked him to have dinner but he said he already had it, and now is tired so we will rest. That was the last straw. As he was about to climb the stairs, I lost my calm, I shouted like a mad woman,
"Mr Neil Atkins, get your butt here right now. I not stupid to wait all night to have dinner with you so I don't care you ate or you are stufffed, you will eat with me right now."

He surely turned around. He was stunned.
As my sudden wave of anger passed, tears took over. I hate this part where I cry after I shout. Does it happen with anyone else out there. It's weird, I am angry, I shouted and then I only cry. Isn't it something the other person should do.

"Ava, Ava, I am sorry don't cry. I swear I am hungry, I didn't have dinner. Come let's eat and than we will talk. Just don't cry." He said wiping my tears.

I noded and we went to the dining table. He served for both of us. We silently had our dinner. As he stood up to keep the dishes away, I told him the inevitable. Come on, I have genes of my brother, it's not easy for us to apologize.

"I am sorry Neil. I know I am not perfect,  I make mistakes and often hurt people around me. This time I have hurt you. But when I say sorry, I mean it. I learn from it. I promise, next time I will talk out things with you instead of dropping bombs."

"I am sorry too Ava, I guess I overreacted. I prefer you being sarcastic not sorry. "

"Don't worry Mr, me being sorry is as rare as the blue moon. Next time you are angry, annoyed or upset, you are not allowed to ignore me. You need space you tell me but if you ignore me, I'll move to Ed's house. "

"Promise I'll never avoid you, I am sorry. "

We hugged each other and he kissed my crown. That night we talked for hours about our future aspirations and slept in each other's arms.
