The warm sunlight of a Sunday morning peeked through the curtains, painting soft stripes across Jungkook's face. He was sleeping soundly after a long, tiring week.
He furrowed his eyebrow for a moment but soon he smiled realising a little munchkin bouncing on his tummy, he chuckled in his sleep hearing soft giggles of his precious little daughter
Jungkook felt a pair of tiny hands pressed firmly against his chest from underneath his shirt.
A habit that she inherited from her Mommy.
Jungkook's opened his eyes with a wide smile, He lifted his head a bit, looking down at the small bump that had formed under his shirt.
"Good morning, my little princess," he chuckled as aera came out of his shirt
"Dada" Aera called out, her voice a sweet melody that chased away Jungkook's remaining sleep "Dada, hungry," she said, her big eyes blinking innocently up at him.
Jungkook yawned as he stretched his arms over his head and he blinked a couple of times, trying to focus on his little princess
"What time is it, princess?"
"1 pm," Aera mumbled softly
Jungkook chuckled shaking his head "Ah, princess, don't joke," he said, reaching out to gently brush away a strand of hair that tickled her
"No joke, dada," she mumbled, her pout getting bigger "It is 1 pm, and princess is hungry!" This time, she pointed a chubby finger towards her own tummy
Jungkook shook his head with a surprised laugh, muttering, "1pm, still doesn't know how to see time" He glanced over at the nightstand, his eyes widening as they landed on the clock. A gasp escaped his lips.
"1:00 PM"
he internally cursed his phone's alarm for not ringing not knowing the fact that he was the one who turned off the alarm and went back to sleep
Aera tugged on his shirt with one hand, her other still pressed on her tummy. "See, dada," she said "princess is hungry and it is 1 pm!"
Jungkook felt guilty for completely missing making Aera breakfast. Now, it was well past lunchtime. He stole a glance at the clock again
But then, he looked down at Aera. There she was looking at her papa with her doe eyes, She hadn't woken him up earlier, demanding breakfast. Instead, she'd waited patiently, letting her Papa sleep in, even if it meant skipping a meal.
Jungkook felt pride replacing the guilt. This tiny human, barely bigger than his hand, had put his needs before her own.
He scooped her up in his arms, burying his face in her soft hair "I'm sorry princess" he murmured
"It's okay dada" she mumbled playing with his shirt buttons
"You know I'm just... incredibly lucky to have the most understanding daughter in the world."
Aera giggled, her tiny body wriggling in his arms. "Princess lucky too," she said "Princess has best dada ever!"
Jungkook chuckled, the sound warm and affectionate. "My little princess," he said, squeezing Aera gently. "Looks like dada needs to make your favorite food to make it up to you for sleeping in, doesn't he?"
Aera's eyes sparkled. "Yes! Yes!" she declared, bouncing slightly in his arms.
Jungkook grinned. "Deal! So, what would my favorite little princess like for lunch?"
Aera scrunched up her nose in deep concentration, Then, her face broke into a wide grin. "Black bean noodles!" she said.
"Black bean noodles it is, then!" he declared, bouncing Aera playfully in his arms.
First things first, they decided to clean aera's room, Jungkook set Aera down on the rug with a basket full of her stuffed animals, Aera smiled helping her father, gathering up discarded clothes and toys, giggling as she tossed them into a laundry basket.
Jungkook scooped Aera up again and carried her to the bathroom. He filled the tub with warm water, adding a generous amount of bubble bath that turned the water a shade of baby pink.
Aera squealed with delight, splashing happily as Jungkook turned on a playlist filled with her favorite children's songs.
By the time bath time was over and Aera was bundled up in a fluffy towel, her hair still damp so jungkook dried her hair and made her wear her favorite pink princess cotton dress
Once Aera was clean and refreshed, they made their way to the kitchen. Jungkook set her down in her highchair,
He rummaged through the cabinets, gathering the ingredients for Aera's favorite dish. He pulled out a package of thick wheat noodles, a jar of black bean paste, some fresh vegetables – vibrant green zucchini, crisp white potatoes, and a bright orange carrot.
Aera watched with wide eyes as her Papa expertly chopped the vegetables
The kitchen soon filled with the warm, inviting aroma of savory black beans and garlic. Jungkook set a pot of water to boil for the noodles, his movements efficient yet playful as he danced around the kitchen with Aera, occasionally letting her help by stirring the sauce or sprinkling a pinch of sugar.
As the noodles cooked and the sauce thickened, Jungkook retrieved two bowls from the cabinet. He carefully plated Aera's lunch
"Breakfast oh sorry lunch is served, Princess!"
Aera clapped her hands in delight, her eyes sparkling with excitement, Jungkook scooped a bite onto a spoon and blew on it gently.
"Here we go, princess," he said, his voice filled with love. "The best black bean noodles ever, made by Jeon Jungkook and Jeon Aera!"
Jungkook smiled feeding soup to his daughter
Aera giggled, her eyes sparkling with joy, As they ate, they chatted about their plans for the day, laughter that filled the kitchen made it a perfect Sunday morning oops evening after all.
After lunch, Jungkook and Aera walked back into the living room, Aera was clutching a small pouch of gummy bears
"Dada" she she said, popping a gummy bear into her mouth, "stories!"However, her next words caused a pang in his chest. "mommy stories," she said making her voice even more soft, she looked at him with her big, brown eyes just like her mother's.
He hesitated for a moment, then reached out to brush a stray curl from her forehead. "Hey, princess," he began gently, "Mommy stories are usually for bedtime, remember?"
He chuckled, his heart internally paining whenever he thought about him
Aera's lower lip trembled slightly, and her eyes welled up with tears. "But dada" she whimpered, Seeing his daughter on the verge of tears was more than Jungkook could bear. He chuckled, and scooped her into his arms.
"Alright, alright, i will tell you his story" he said kissing her cheek Aera's face lit up instantly, a wide grin replacing her tears. She snuggled closer to him.
"You know what happened when your Mommy and I went on our first ever date?" Jungkook said, Aera bounced slightly in his lap, her eyes wide with excitement as she heard her mommy stories
