[60 Years After Chara's Death]

A sudden, blinding pain. A broken leg. Thats what Shai awoke to.

He had landed on a bed of decaying golden flowers. Some good it did him.

He groaned in pain.  Beginning to drag himself along. He could barely remember anything.

"Hey." Piped up one of the flowers from the bed.

Shai turned.

A golden Flower with a face. It looked as though it had been crying.

"What are you?!" Shai yelped, falling over backwards. "How are you talking?!"

The flower laughed nervously. "I'm Asriel. You can't tell anyone thats my name though. And... I' a monster."

"Why not? Are you a criminal or something?" Shai protectively put his boxing gloves up.

"Hahaa.. Kinda? I'm on the run! Just... Just call me Flowey." Flowey extended a vine out. Shai lowered his hands.

"Okay then, Asriel..." The flower seemed to perk up, "I'm Shai."

Shai was a short, yet surprisingly well built human child. He sported short, messy brown hair and matching brown eyes with a rare determination in them. He wears an orange shirt with a tan stripe and a black logo of some kind.

He shook Flowey's vine as though shaking a hand.

As he did this, he felt himself grow warm. He tried to pull away but was unable to.

HP MAXED OUT

Flowey let go of him, smiling. "There. I've been working on my healing magic... I thought it would come in handy some day!"

"Oh." Shai laughs nervously. "I thought you were about to kill me."

Flowey seems taken aback by this, but Shai doesn't pause to watch his expression. Getting to his feet and beginning to explore the Ruins.

"There's a lot of puzzles ahead." Flowey warned as he followed at Shai's side, having to tunnel underground and pop back up every few feet.

"My cousin used to force me to do puzzles all the time, I'm sure it'll be fine!" Shai laughs, cracking his knuckles.

"Well, if you're so sure." Flowey smiles a tad at the confidence of the human. It was familiar.

Shai turned out to be right. He wasn't too bad at the puzzles... until it came to flipping switches.

He immediately flipped the wrong one, the floor caving from beneath him. Flowey screamed as he fell.

When he hits the ground, he's barely conscious. Ears ringing. He can't tell how far he fell.

His very SOUL stings. The darkness that surrounds him spins.

"Get up." A faint voice hisses. "Your time here is not over yet."

He weakly raises his head, seeing a red figure in the distance. They turn heel and walk away.
