The bright sun rays were shining on the windows of Akademi High that fateful morning, as Valentina's heart raced with the anticipation of a new beginning, in a totally new place.
She always dreamed of going to a school where she could start over, to a school where no one knew her or her story, to a school where she would feel safe and find someone, who she'll spend the rest of her life with.

...

Akademi High was one of the most popular schools in the UK, it was located right in the center of London. The enormous school, encircled by a high fence, boasts a serene garden in the back where students can unwind amidst nature's beauty. With its impressive three floors, the school is a hub of learning and creativity, seamlessly integrated with its lush surroundings filled with an abundance of plants, creating a harmonious blend of architecture and nature.

As the girl enters the building, she notices the school halls bustling with students, she walks through the corridor searching for someone who would be willing to help her find the headmasters office. Valentina's gaze swept across the unfamiliar faces, so focused on the people around, she didnt notice where she was walking. Shortly after, she collided with someone, the impact sent her stumbling backward. As she regained her balance, her eyes met a pair of stunning, deep green eyes.

- Are you alright? - The person in front of her asked suddenly. His voice was really calming, but filled with concern. Valentina nodded, feeling a flutter of nerves in the moment.

- Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going... - She said as her cheeks flushed with embarrassment at the unexpected encounter.

As she looked up at the guy again, his smile faded into a cool mask as he regarded her with an icy gaze.

- Just watch where you're going next time new girl. - He remarked the words, carrying a sharp edge.

Valentina's heart sank at the sudden change of the boy's tone. A seed of confusion and sadness was taking root within her. As she built up enough courage to ask the guy about his name and why did he react like that, he pushed her to the side with his shoulder and walked away as nothing happend. Still in shock, she was standing in the middle of the hall.

- Don't mind Asher, he's a total jerk. - Someone said from behind, this time it was a girls voice. As Val turned around she noticed a girl smiling at her. She had long, straight, dark red hair, and stunning black eyes.

- Seriously? He seems so kind though. He's so pretty as well. - Valentina said saddened by the whole incident. She thought to herself if that was the real Asher or a merley a glimpse of a facade to conceal hidden intentions and personality.

- Don't let his looks fool you girl. He might be pretty, but he's heartless. - The girl answered.

The girls name was Winter, she moved from Singapore to the UK just two years ago. She helped Val around the school and introduced her to one of her really close friend Musume. The 3 girls got along toghether and quickly started trusting eachother with everything.

As the bell rang Valentina went to her class. Alone at the last desk, she found herself replaying the collision with Asher in her mind. She spent most of the lesson thinking about the icy and mean boy. Her classmates weren't interested in talking with her at all, and the class was quiet, until Winter walked in.
