The ship carrying us to Inazuma was more than comfortable, as expected of the Fatui. Due to the fortune that Pantalone has acquired over the years, the Fatui are able to afford the most lavish of transport, which often match the quality of the accommodations that are offered. Although that's the norms among most missions, when hunting down a target, it's best not to stand out. So, in the case of the Balladeer and I, we will be staying in an old teahouse in Narukami island, near the area that the target was recently seen. When we arrive on the island, it's already late afternoon, about 4:00 pm.

I step off the ship, onto the island, alongside the Balladeer and our Fatui accomplices. We travel up a small hill from the beach we docked at, to the small teahouse. Two Fatui skirmishers accompany us into the house, which is empty as promised. I walk into one of the bedrooms, which has a full sized bed, alike to the other one I assume. I place my things down, looking around. There's a private bathroom, with a bathtub and a toilet next to the sink.

The whole house is somewhat cozy, the floors made of light brown wood and the walls painted to a dark auburn, nearly black color. I lay down on the bed, feeling somewhat comfortable. The bed is warm, but firm, and the blankets are thick. It's slightly cold in the house, but not unmanageable. I get up, walking out of the room, and looking around a bit more. Wandering into the kitchen, I take notice of the many different, intricately painted teapots and cups. I stand on my tiptoes, looking up at the cabinet filled with them, admiring each one. The Balladeer walks in, interrupting the silence.

"You. Go to the General Goods store and get some flour, sugar, salt, butter, cheese and tomatoes." He says, addressing a Fatui member who's currently on guard. He then turns to me. "Let's discuss tomorrow's plan." Walking over to the counter, he places down the papers that Capitano had given us prior to the mission. "He was recently seen in Narukami island, around these areas." He places his finger on a few of the areas in Inazuma City nearby. "However, he hasn't been seen around here for a few days. He's likely moving to the next spot to give out the Fatui's information; Ritou. We'll go there tomorrow, and ask around if anyone's seen someone who fits the description."

"Cool. But don't you think your appearance might...frighten off some of the commoners there? I mean, not to mention your...um, not exactly welcoming personality..." I trail off, not wanting to blatantly call him rude to his face.

"What exactly is that supposed to mean, Y/n? Are you calling me mean?" He asks, seeming irritated.

"N...no....just, um, you're not really...." I try to think of a better way to phrase it, but I come up with nothing. "...nevermind."

The Balladeer glared at me for a second, before smirking. "You know, you're not my servant anymore, and you're certainly not an average Fatui member. You're allowed to speak your mind." He teases, sensing my nervousness.

"I know, I know. It's going to take a bit of getting used to, though..." I mutter, yawning a bit.

"Alright. Go to Inazuma City and get us some kimonos, so we don't stand out too much. Take one of the skirmishers with you." He says, briskly turning and walking back into his room. Before he reaches his room, he turns back for a moment. "I almost forgot. I'm fairly sure you haven't been paid by Capitano yet, so here." He tosses me a small satchel of mora, and I catch it in one hand. "That should pay for two. Hurry up, by the way, I'm hungry. I won't wait for you to get back to eat."

I groan, but comply, walking out of the teahouse, towards one of the nearby cabins where the skirmishers stay. I see one walking between the houses, and catch his attention.

"Hey! You." I call, snapping my fingers. "Come with me, we're going to Inazuma City." He nods, following behind me swiftly. We walk for a while, past a large pink tree with Sakura petals fluttering down to the ground. There are several small houses around it, similar to those that the skirmishers stay in. We get some odd looks from passersby, as well as a few cold stares from the older residents in the area, but it doesn't bother me much. Many people spite the Fatui, after all.

Later on, we reach the city. There are a multitude of stores lining the stone path through the bustling city, some selling pizza, others smithing weapons. Finally, we reach a Kimono store, with a variety of fabrics that range in color, pattern, and texture. I pick out a light green one with golden accents for myself, and a deep red one with dark purple accents for the Balladeer. The cost totals around 5,600 mora, which I luckily have enough to pay for. I exchange the small golden coins for the kimonos, and thank the woman working there. She smiles gratefully, saying "Come again!", although she seemed a bit scared by the skirmisher behind me. I shrug it off, and begin walking back down towards the teahouse where we stay.

As I walk, I can't help but notice the scent of something sweet and warm in the air- dango. I turn to see a small stall with a street vendor selling dango on a stick, and before I know it, I'm buying one for myself and on for the Balladeer. I begin walking again, but another shop catches my eye- and yet again, I find myself buying something new. It's a small doll, with dark hair and pale skin, wearing a tiny white kimono. It reminds me a bit of the Balladeer, and I smile, deciding to give it to him. I look around more, not spending more money in fear of pissing off the Balladeer.

Before I know it, hours have past, and I jolt as I realize just how much time I've spent in the city. I panic, rushing thought the city, the skirmisher carrying all my things as he follows close behind. I run past stalls of fruit and tasty smelling foods, by shops selling parasols, over small waterways in the city. I pass the large pink tree, running up the hill to the teahouse. My breath comes in fast pants, my hear beating wildly as my legs struggle to run faster. Twelve minutes after I left the city, I get back to the teahouse, as the sky darkens. My breath is still heavy, my lungs burning, feeling like I ran a marathon. I walk slowly up to the door, trying to catch my breath. As I walk in, my eyes widen at the feeling of a cold blade against my neck. looking out of the corner of my eye, I see that the sword is held by none other than the Balladeer.
