9. Day 9.

Mingyu's Pov.

Our guests had settled in, and the 2 of them went to sleep along with Minseo. I talked to her before she went to sleep and then went to the balcony where Mum was at. "Mum." I called out as she gave me a look of anxiety. "Are you okay.?"

"..I see they've gone through a lot." She leaned against the railing, as I took a stand beside her, watching over the horizon.

"I heard." I dipped my head down slightly whilst I shuffled my feet around a bit.

"Mingyu. What are the things you want to do..Before the world ends.?" I glanced at Mum with a question mark over my head. She had asked a very random question on the spot.

"Just spend time with you and Minseo." I shrugged as a reply.

"You're a great son. Even when I needed a hand in raising you." She placed a hand on my shoulder and kissed me on the forehead. "You should get some sleep." She brushed off things from my shirt and smiled.

"I will. I'll just stay for a few minutes for some fresh air." I said and she agreed.

"Don't stay out here for too long. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Mum." I watched her off and then looked into the dark. I remembered from earlier, Minhee was somewhat having struggles in remembering what happened in her past. Minseo did mention to her to write everything down..And I did infact get a notebook not long ago for no reason.

I jogged to my room, scurrying through all my drawers. Then I eventually found it through a pile of papers over it. It was completely unused. This would be perfect for her. I peeked out of my room and the room nearby, the door was slightly open. I tiptoed right in, avoiding Jeonghan who was on the floor. I then placed the notebook down beside Minhee where she was sleeping.

I left after a few minutes and then returned to my room to just flop on my desk chair. I sighed, covering my eyes with my hand. I wasn't tired at all..I wondered if just have new people bothered me or..possibly it were something else. I spun a pen through my fingers as I started to notice the stars up in the sky. They finally reappeared. I spent my minutes in stargazing from my window.

It was fun though..Although..extremely quiet.

Mrs. Kim's Pov.

I shuffled around in bed, not being able to sleep. With that, I had become frustrated with myself for not being able to just relax. Having children have been the best thing but has also been the worst for when I was a young age. My friend..Jeonhee had died from the disease. She was only 26 if I counted right. I was pregnant at the age of 20 after being deeply in love with my boyfriend.

Of course I'm still doing well but he left me. What if I had no job..I would've been living on the streets, taking care of a child. Now I'm 36..Used to have a stable job, not like money matters anymore anyways. I met Jeonhee when I was 27. Mingyu was just 7 years old.

I was having problems with my boyfriend at that time so I took Mingyu out for a walk and that's when I ran into the 17 year old.

Past.
"Excuse me, you look down in the dumps. Want this ice cream?" She lifted up a popsicle at me as I held Mingyu's hand tight. "Or..maybe your brother?" She peeked down at him.

"..He's my son." I said and she raised her eyebrows.

"Really? You look extremely young ma'am." She gasped, looking back and forth from me to Mingyu.

"I had him when I was a bit young." I told her with a soft smile.

"He looks around my younger sister's age!" She crouched down to Mingyu. "You want some ice cream? It's not poisoned- I promise-" She waved her hands, looking to me with a panic.
