Minhee's Pov.

I yawned, my back aching from sleeping in this place. I turned to look at Jeonghan who shivered in his sleep. I felt terrible for him, we even had to sleep with our masks on.

I took off my jacket and placed it over him since everything was filled with blood. I then went to another room to see the restless sister of his. She was still panting like crazy since yesterday night.

Yesterday.

"Let's go." Jeonghan went to knock but the door just creaked open. But that's when I realized what that uncomfortable feeling was.

The reek of old blood flushed out. Not even insects were around. Jeonghan took a step onto the wooden floor and I could already see his anxious movements. "Grandma..? Grandpa.." I already heard his trembling tone as he kneeled down.

I had the need to cry aswell so I left him in the room. I explored a bit, calming myself down too. I then checked upstairs and something caught my eye. When I turned my head, suddenly someone jumped on me, slicing my hand as I used to to protect myself. "Ack!" I was sweating..

Then I noticed who the person was. She stole the knife back, fleeing to a corner. I was bleeding terribly but I approached her slowly. "Soohan..It's me. Minhee?" She was gripping on the knife, you could see her tired eyes shake towards mine. She couldn't keep eye contact with me.

"Minhee..unnie.." She was still a young girl obviously..You had to approach her carefully.

"Yes it's me." I made sure she wasn't infected before taking her into my arms. She was covered with blood, but it wasn't her own. She began to cry out, jumping into my arms, dropping the weapon.

My hand shivered from fear but I could deal with it later. And just like that I was taking care of the siblings. I got both of them to sleep even with the reek of rotten blood. I patched up my hand and probably got to it before any infection got through the slit. Luckily she hadn't cut me so deeply.

Present.

I stroked her head slowly, hoping she'd calm her heart down. I wanted to ask what happened but I knew it wasn't the right moment to ask such a thing. I was still tired from yesterday and we hadn't even walked so far. It's Day 4..Right? 27 days left.. Weirdly enough it kept making my stomach drop. I needed to vomit already from the smell.

I noticed Soohan's breath had finally paced itself so I took a look around again. I was too caught up with the whole problem that I never really got to look what happened.

I saw the rotten bodies with no insects surrounding them and I glanced at the walls, rubbed with the streak of a bloody hand. I followed it to the back, seeing a garden. I opened the door slowly and saw another pair of bodies laying dead and dry on the grass.

I took a step back from shock as I had that nauseous feeling.. "Goodness.." I took a closer look, holding in my gagged reflex and these 2 weren't familiar at all. But they had clear stab wounds..everywhere where it was possible.

I also saw a handle underneath one of the bodies. I kicked the body around to reveal what the object was. And there appeared a gun. "Would this be useful?" Who knows? Maybe I'll just kill myself one day before my life really ends.

I groaned, disappointed with my negative thoughts and continued to hear the sounds of nothing. I wanted to sort of figure out how the world was really ending. The pandemic sure was a big thing but it was probably only a little percentage of the actual problem.

Along with the other natural disasters, climate changes..Shouldn't there have been something that just triggered it? Triggered the world to ending.

"Minhee." The hoarse voice of Jeonghan. I took a good look at him and he looked just as done.
