I wake up and I observe my surroundings. Where am I? It looks like I'm in a forest. I look down to what I'm wearing. Some white, fairy-like dress. It's beautiful, but I don't remember, wearing it or owning it, or how I ended up here in the first place.
I get up and I decide to walk through the forest. I have no idea why actually, but something just tells me to. I look down to see that I'm not even wearing shoes. Who am I? Rapunzel? The sky is bright, there are no clouds to be seen. There are beautiful trees and flowers everywhere. It seems like I'm in some magical forest.
I keep walking until I end up at a beautiful river. It's super clean, I can see right through it, and it has beautiful water lilies. I hold up my dress and I walk through the water to the other side of the river. I cross the river vertically, so it's only like five or six meters. I step on the grass again and I keep walking.
Somewhere in the distance I sot a fantasy-like gazebo. Maybe I need to go there, that way I'll get back to my own world? I run through the forest as fast as I can. It's not like it's scary here or something, but I just wonder where I am, why and how.
After a lot of running, I finally arrive at the gazebo. It's white-pinkish is, the pillars decorated by beautiful flowers. The architecture of the gazebo is beautiful. Behind it, I see a waterfall. "Hello dear." I hear and I jump in surprise. An old lady approaches me from the other side of the gazebo.
"Hi... Not to be rude, but who are you?" "I'm miss Antoinette. I have been expecting you Aurora." Miss Antoinette states. I feel like I have seen her before, but that's impossible. "How do you my name? And what do you mean you have been expecting me? Am I dead?" I ask and she laughs. "No my dear, you're not dead. You're a Beaufort, and it's your eighteenth birthday." She says.
I actually wanted to say 'no shit Sherlock', but I figured it's not appropriate to say that to an old lady. "What does that mean?" I ask instead. "Every Beaufort woman passes out on her birthday, at midnight." She says. "What? Why? How?" "Aurora dear, you've been wondering a long time who you are. And I must say, you handled it pretty smart with all the help you got from your friends."
"Thank you. I think..." I reply. "You're not a miserably failing witch," how does she know I said that? "No Beaufort could use her magic before her eighteenth birthday." "Why is that? That has never happened to witches." I state. "Exactly, but you aren't a witch honey. You are something else, but you can use magic." She says.
Okay she is very nice, but she explains very vague. How am I supposed to get what she is saying? "After their eighteenth birthday, the Beaufort women could use their magic." "Really? So I can use magic? Wait, how do you know all of this miss?" I ask curiously. "Because I am the first Beaufort to ever exist, Aurora. I am your ancestor." "Really? Well it's nice to meet you, great, great, great, great, great... yea never mind. Does that mean my parents are also here, or just my mom since my dad wasn't a Beaufort?"
"No honey, just me. That's because I'm the first, I explained all the Beaufort women what they are, how they should live, I gave them advice. Take your mother as an example, I gave most Beaufort women the advice to use their magic wisely, but I told your mother to try and also live a human life. Anyway, I'm the first Beaufort, and the only one who watches very single generation grow up." Miss Antoinette says.
"What about my parents?" "They're at peace honey. They aren't on the other side, you'r father because he was human, and your mother because Beaufort's don't go to the other side. They can't see you, but they're proud of you." She says
"Now, it's time for you to go dear." "No! I need more answers. What am I? How.." "That will come later dear, don't worry. Just try to use magic, trust me. We will meet soon again, sooner than you'd think, and I'll give you answers. Bye now dear, try your magic. And just remember, you are French..." That's the last thing I hear before everything goes pitch black.

I gasp and I sit straight up. "Aurora." Care sighs in relief as she walks over to me with Kol. Elijah is talking with Nik, and Rebekah approaches me with a glass of water. Okay did I just have a really weird dream or what? "Thank you." I say and I drink the water. I look at the clock, almost one AM. Maybe it wasn't a dream?
Elijah and Nik also come walking towards us. "You're awake, good." Nik says. "What happened?" I ask. "We were walking through the garden, and then you collapsed, love." Kol says. "How late was it at that moment?" "I don't know, like twelve maybe, why?" Kol replies. "Where's my phone?" I ask. "There." Care says and she gets up to get it. "No, wait." I say and I grab her wrist.
"Darling, are you okay?" Kol asks, but I don't respond. Instead, I focus on the phone. "Ascendo, phasmatos motus." I say, but nothing happens. "Ascendo, phasmatos motus." I repeat myself. "Aurora, love, you can't do magic, remember?" Kol states, but I ignore him. Maybe it was a dream, and it was just a coincidence? Wait a minute, what did she say at the end? And just remember, you are French..
Of course! That's it! "Augmenter, spectre mouvement." I translate and my phone lifts in the air. "Spectre mouvement." I repeat and my phone comes to me. Oh. My. God. It wasn't a dream! All the people in the room look confused. "How did you just do that?" Care asks in confusion. "I used magic, I just did a spell." "How is that possible, you can't do magic." Rebekah states.
"Look this is gonna sound crazy, but just listen. So I woke up in a forest and I just kept walking in a certain direction. Eventually I arrived at a gazebo, and there was this old lady, miss Antoinette. She apparently was the first Beaufort woman. She told me every Beaufort couldn't use her magic until after their eighteenth birthday. They all pass out at midnight, on their eighteenth birthday, and then you'll come to her. She said something about me being French, that's when I figured that I should do a French spell." I say.
"That's amazing Rora." Care says. "Yea it is, and how did you translated that spell so fast?" Rebekah asks. "I used to do Latin at my old school." I say and she nods. "So do you know what you are?" Nik asks. "Nope, she said it was time for me to go, but that I will see her soon again and that she will give me answers. What I do know is that I'm not an witch, according to her, and Beaufort's don't go to the other side. My mom isn't watching me, she said. Only she can because she was the first Beaufort." I explain.
"Well that's a lot of information at once." Kol says. "Yep." "Well at least you can actually use your magic now." Care says. "Yes, and I'm very exicted about it." "I will see if I have a grimooire for you." Elijah says. "Thank you." I reply. "Well, you should get some sleep." Kol says to me. "We all should." Nik says. "You and Caroline can stay here for the night if you'd like." Nik offers and we nod.

A/N:
Finally! Okay, not a lot of action this chapter, but it is is what it is. This chapter was kind of short, but it's really late and I'm gonna go to bed because I have a test tomorrow. I just wanted to upload this chapter before I went to bed.
So do you guys have any thoughts on what Aurora might be?
This is probably really confusing, but I'll make it clearer later on.
Votes and comments are highly appreciated!
Goodnight! Or have a nice day if you're reading this in the morning or afternoon!
