Tainted - Chapter II

    Edit: I wrote this chapter when I woke up at 5 A.M. and there was confusion about Allie and Vee. No worries, I changed it, so this chapter is all yours! <3

  As I exited the school grounds, I hesitated about going to the park. If that man was there, he might get me arrested, and thrown into a Tainted facility. 

"Allie!" I looked over my shoulder and smiled.

"Hey Vee."

  Victoria, or Vee, was my best friend from sixth grade. Victoria is the only person in the world, besides Vincent, who knows what I am. 

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked.

"Sure." she said walking towards a school bench and patting next to her.

  The tension in the air was tight, and when I finally decided to tell her, the words couldn't come out of my mouth.

"I-I...."

"Allie, if you can't tell me it's fine." she said a bit sadly.

"NO! S-sorry.... Well.... yesterday someone found out...." I said looking ashamed.

"What? Who is the person?" she asked angrily.

"I don't know... but he was gifted aswell. He was watching me draw the rose the whole time...."

"Did you look around while you were doing it? The park cameras could've caught you!" she said worriedly.

"I-b-..."

  Before anyone knew it, a Tainted police walked up to us. My heart rate spiked and Vee held my hand.

"Yes?" she asked innocently.

"Have you seen this man?" he said handing us a collection of pictures.

  That was the same man who saw me last night.

"What has he done wrong?" we asked.

"He wants the world to be Tainted, and Tainted only. He wants to rid the world of the regulars, like you two." he said coldly.

  I looked over at Vee who looked down in shame.

"Okay sir...." we both said.

"One last thing." he said looking at me.

  That's when I knew what was going to happen.

"You there." he said pointing to me.

"Y-yes?" I replied trembling.

"Come with me, Tainted." he spat.

"WAIT!" shrieked Vee.

  He turned to Vee when suddenly she frowned and her eyes turned bright red.

"You will forget about us. You will turn around, and come back from where you came." she said in a strict voice.

  My mouth dropped. Vee was gifted. He nodded as his eyes turned a shade of red and turned around. Vee's eyes turned their normal shade of piercing blue, and she collapsed on my lap. I called her brother, Merrick, to come pick her up. 

  Since we were on school grounds, I couldn't draw a blanket for her to be warm in. It was leaning towards 5:00, and then the breeze picked up. Vee was out cold now in my arms as I tried my best to keep her warm. So, Vee's gift is compelling. It seems like she's too weak for her gift though... for her to collapse after that one guy must be the first sign. Unless it gives her extreme headaches, which explains why her head always hurt.
