Third person's POV:

A few weeks later...

    It was the day before Valentine's day, and everyone was meeting at the bottom of the stairs to play a game. It was like secret santa, you were to make a small gift for the person you pulled from the basket (of which Charlie was holding) and give it to them on Valentine's day when they all met up again. "If you guys are struggling with what to get your person, you're able to trade. Also! There is a bonus in here since theres an uneven amount of us.'' Charlie told them as she put the basket on the steps. Niffty was the first to go. She reached in and pulled a name and smiled before running off giggling. Next was Angel, followed by Husker, then Sir Pentious, Vaggie, Alastor, and finally Lucifer. Charlie took the last on and set the basket on the table.

    Lucifer looked down at the name he got and he felt his heart speed up when he read it. 'Alastor.' He smiled and quickly folded the paper and put it in his pocket. Alastor had walked off towards the bar, he hadn't looked at his yet. Husker was smiling softly at his piece of paper before putting it neatly into his pocket and walking back to the bar. Angel had gone upstairs and was leaning on the balcony and opened his paper, his face seemed to relax as he read it. Charlie smiled at her paper and walked out the door immediately to go make hers. Vaggie sighed as she read hers and went out to catch up with Charlie. Sir Pentious went to his room and showed his egg bois who he got. They all immediately got to work on the gift.

    Lucifer had went up to his room and began to summon different things he could put in the basket. So far, he had venison jerky, Alastor's favorite chocolates (which he found out by asking Husker) and a small box of chocolate covered strawberries. He sighed and looked around. He found a small vial and thought of something. "I suppose he'd appreciate that.." he said to himself as he grabbed it. He summoned a dagger and bit his lip as he cut part of his forearm. His blood dripping down. He quickly grabbed the vial and held it under the cut, letting his golden blood fall in. once full. He put the cap on and set it in the basket, then quickly started to heal the cut.

    Husker was cleaning up the bar and looked over at Alastor "who'd you get?" he asked. "And thats your business because..?" Alastor asked not looking at him. Husk put his hands up in innocence "it's not, forget I asked" he said as he continued to wipe down the counter. Alastor leaned back in his chair and opened the paper. He sighed as he read it and burned it with a snap of his fingers. Husker made him a drink and went to the other side of the counter to shift through his stock.

Lucifer's POV:

I walked out of his room around noon. I made his way downstairs to the lounge and laid down on the couch, going through my phone. Nothing but a bunch of politics and news. I didn't notice Alastor walking in as I scrolled through reels. "whats the point of those? They simply just rot your brain." I jumped when I heard his voice. When I looked up, Alastor was leaning over the couch, looking down at me. "It passes time, and I don't think it rots your brain.." I told him as I slowly sat up so that Alastor could sit down beside me. "Mhm, whatever you say." Alastor moved to the other side of the couch and sat down, crossing his legs. I decided to make conversation and put my phone away. "So... who did you get?" "I can't tell, it kind of defeats the purpose of the 'Surprise'" he said looking at me with a small smile. I sighed "ya, your right."

I leaned back on the couch. I was exhausted from draining my blood and healing the cut. God I shouldn't have done that.. "When was the last time you slept?" Alastor asked. I noticed him studying my face. "Umm... yesterday afternoon I believe" I said thinking about it. Actually, I haven't eaten since before that either. That just made me hungry. "Maybe you should take a nap" he offered. "I would love to, but I can't exactly sleep in that room. I know I've been here a while, but it's just not like the bed at home."

"You want to sleep in my room then? You seem to do just fine in there." I couldn't tell if that last part was him flirting or not. I looked at him "really? You wouldn't mind?" I asked, looking into his eyes. "Why would I?" he asked, looking back at me with his beautiful red eyes. I smiled a little. "T-Thanks.." I stuttered and looked down at my hands so that I didn't blush from the simple eye contact.

I could hear his quiet laugh when I looked away. "Come on, and we can stop by the kitchen to, Nifty made cupcakes apparently" he said as he stood up and offered his hand to me. I took it with an excited smile "ooh, what kind?" He helped me up and made his way towards the kitchen, still holding my hand. I smiled at that, I followed after him, walking beside him to the kitchen. "I believe they are velvet, but I'm not sure. Those are actually my favorite" he said as he walked in. 'noted' I thought. I would be adding those to the basket.

Walking into the kitchen, you could smell the fresh batter. As creepy as Niffty was, she sure did know how to make cupcakes. They smelled and looked amazing. Alastor grabbed two off the plate that sit on the counter and handed one to me. I smiled "Thank you" I took a bite and had to stop myself from moaning at the taste "wow!"

"That good hmm?" Alastor asked as he took a bite of his. I nodded and ate the rest of it. It was so good. "Oh wow, I think this is her best batch" he said with a pleased smile. He was still holding my hand as he finished his too. I yawned while waiting for him and looked down at our hands. "You really are tired huh" he said with a small laugh and started walking towards the stairs.

I walked beside him "I guess.. I haven't exactly slept for the past few nights.." I said a little embarrassed. Ever since the night I stayed over, I couldn't manage to fall asleep. I looked up at Alastor, who had a calm expression. "Missed me did you?" Alastor teased. I blushed and looked away "shut up.."

Once we got to his room, I laid down on his bed, sinking into the bed. I signed, I was extremely tired. Alastor had moved to sit beside me on the bed. "If your going to sleep in here, at least don't take up the whole bed" he said. I sat up "sorry.." I moved under the covers and stayed to the side of the bed.

I could feel him moving slightly, and I jumped slightly when I felt his hand on my waist, pulling my back against him. I looked up at him "what are you-" I was cut off. "If your going to sleep in here, I'd rather keep you close..."

I smiled a little and moved closer. He wrapped his arms around me, to which I held rested my arms over. I could feel him breathing down my neck. I slowly started to fall asleep to the sound of his breathing. I missed this.
